This is the place for you to comment on any of my blog entries for CHUD.

My first blog entry is Regards to Captain Dunsel, which is about how Star Trek has impact my life and career, and my reaction to William Shatner's disappointment about not being in the new Trek film.

Oh, cool- we've got a literate Trekkie blogger!

I've always been interested in the Trek films that "never were", like Harlan Ellison's "Lizard Men" version of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, or Walter Koenig's Aliens-esque treatment for Trek IV that killed the entire crew save Spock and Bones, who walked off into the sunset after saving the universe from an alien threat. Would have loved to have seen the Heart of Darkness riff that was originally planned for Insurrection, which had Picard traveling up river on a jungle planet to face off with a malfunctioning Data. There were so many fun ideas that were ultimately lost in committee or shot down because of stakeholder disagreements. Too many cooks, I guess.

Nice Blog. And count me in as a Star Trek fan.
I've recently watched the first 4 movies and was reminded at how good some moments of them are.

And yes, what Minsky said. I'd love to hear about the inner rumblings of the production!

And what game where you working on ?

I'm currently between projects. However, it's looking likely that my next game will likely be based upon a film or television property, but won't necessarily be in the science fiction, fantasy, or horror genre.

I mentioned it in my own blog a couple of days ago, but I'd just like to repeat here what a big fan I am of your game The Prisoner. It's one of the best adventure games ever made and one of the few games to really capture the themes and feel of a source material from another medium. It's funny that this game (which I believe was not officially licensed?) does a much better job of getting across the feel of its inspiration than most modern officially licensed games, who are able to graphically recreate things 100% accurately and have amazing access to movie studios and television producers resources.

Thanks you for remembering The Prisoner, kind sir. I expect to be making an exciting announcement involving that game very soon.

It's Not The Mileage, It's The Years

In It's Not The Mileage, It's The Years, I recount my adventures with Indiana Jones, which began unexpectedly in Hollywood in 1981.
