"Incoherent Light" (my comic strip)

This is my new strip. I have no idea how many I will do. It could be the first of many, but it may be the last. We'll see.

Any feedback is welcome, even if it's of the "go fuck your mother, you suck!" variety.

LOL. The first thing that sprung to mind was a Radiohead lyric:

You do it to yourself, you do, and that's what really hurts...

A good start. Looking forward to seeing more!

Hey I never said they'd be good.

I seriously have like 20 of these in various stages of completion, and it's driven me insane. I figured I'd go for a "quick and easy" one(comic sans!) using photos I took recently, and it still took me a few hours.

Thanks for the comments folks.

A relaunch of sorts, with a new name. This was the name of a screenplay I was writing back in high school, but like most of my projects, I never finished it.

I've gone back and renamed/resized my old ones and gave them a slightly "sleeker" look, but no need to re-upload the old ones on Photobucket(since the strips themselves haven't changed).
I have a drawing tablet for my PC now, so I should be making(more like finishing) more soon.

Photobucket has an option for thumbnails now, let me know if that's preferable to clogging up a page with large images.

Dude I love these.

Thanks a lot Evi!

I got a PC drawing tablet from a friend for Christmas, so hopefully I'll be able to do more of these. I own 4 scanners, none of which work, so it's a bit of a godsend. Right now I'm averaging like 2 a year. Even with my normal slug-like pace, that's pretty bad.

LOL that is some funny stuff man!

These are great but by putting them in the public domain aren't you worried that someone will nick your ideas?

People can and will steal just about anything posted/written on the internet, so it's a risk anyone takes nowadays when they want to share their work. I have them posted elsewhere as well(my DeviantArt, for example), so unless someone posts my work as their own or blatantly steals an idea I'm not too worried about it.
I just want to spread a few chuckles.

Haha, love smug ass Larry.

As you can see by my post dates in this thread, I'm a teeeeeny bit slow with them. Big change from when I was in high school and would crank out several strips a day(during classes I shouldn't have been drawing in, of course). Luckily, I have a ton of in-progress ones, so hopefully it'll be less of a wait next time. *knocks on wood*

JG, I figured no one liked that one, maybe because I'm not a big fan of it. Haha.

Thanks a lot for the comments folks. I rarely get any feedback except from close friends. It's appreciated.

These are great, especially the ones where you anthropomorphise things.

Thanks Bucho! Glad you dig 'em.
I built up a small stockpile, just to see if I can get on some kind of schedule. I have 4 done at the moment, a first!

That strikes me as very Nick-styled humor. Made me laugh a lot.

Incoherent Light is becoming my favorite comic strip.

Glad I got a laugh out of you Patrick. You have no idea how many people I've had to explain that one to.
WAY too bold a statement Kurt, but totally flattering! Thanks man.

I like them all but I really like Schooled.

I had to read it out loud to really get the full effect. Seems like it'd work better as an actually spoken joke, in the vein of the classic "Interrupting Cow-" "MOOOOOO!".

Yeah I agree it works better out loud. Sometimes I just go full ahead even if my idea isn't 100%. I'm a weirdo though and usually run with my ideas even if no one I know gets them or thinks they're funny. I imagine Gary Larson had a similar attitude(not to compare the quality of the work, just the method).

Caught your post in the BUGS thread by the way, thanks for the heads-up. I'll make sure to write something when I post here if they haven't figured out a workaround by then.

Piet.. we COULD run these on the site you know.

I've been looking into getting some cartoonists together to form a site of our own, but I'd be stupid to turn that down. What's the best way to get ahold of you? PMs have been iffy in the past.

PM's are great now.

For you fine folks who give a crap, I'm still doing these. Slowly.

If you use the ol' Facebook, "like" the page on there! http://www.facebook.com/incoherentlight
If you hate Facebook with every fiber of your being(and want better resolution)! http://goophballl.deviantart.com/gallery/24194589

Here, have a kinda/sorta/not really recent one!
