Man, I just want REARMED to come out already. I'll maybe give the other one a chance but I want REARMED like yesterday.

I do like that this game is being developed by a western developer. With something that potentially has an interesting story, I'd like to have a developer that isn't going to drop the ball in that area.

The graphics were considerably worked on since the last round of trailers and screenshots.
The city gameplay looks great.
In the Jungle there is a problem with the shadows, but the rest looks good.

I want the Dog ate melon achievement.

Yeah, the unfortunate thing with the REARMED stuff is that if I buy that game for PS3 and then BIONIC COMMANDO for 360, my sweet original skin won't transfer over. But there is no way for me to tell this far out if the 360 version will be notably superior to the PS3 version (since BIONIC COMMANDO doesn't come out until the fall).

Good timing on the Leisure Suit Larry line.

These are all great, man.

You're not alone on the Rearmed craving, let me tell you.
Also, I waited a long, long time for a sequel, and a I also get a remake of the original as well? The long wait was worth it...and Dark Void is the icing on the cake for me.
Now, where's Strider III, Capcom?

It seems there is a demo for the new Bionic Commando on Live today.

Yessir. Only multiplayer, though. Definitely not the way to show the game off, but it's fun enough.

Ok, best way to NOT get me interested in a game is to throw me into a very drab multiplayer level with very little information as to how to actually play the game.

I think BC comes out tomorrow. Is anyone planning on picking it up?

No. Quite frankly, I actively disliked the Prettied up Bionic Commando retread they released online a while back, and this new game carries over similar problems I had with the previous game. Is it that hard to create a swinging mechanic that's actually not fidely, easy to use and more importantly, fun? Its not that hard. See: Spiderman 2. A last generation game.

What? How can you dislike Bionic Commando: Rearmed? It plays exactly like the first one only with great music and graphics and less pointlessly easy boss fights.

As discussed with yourself in the official PS3 thread: "Bionic Commando, I don't really get the love for. The controls are annoying as hell. Like the psp ghost n' goblins redo, Capcom should have really updated its platforming mechanic's to fit with the times. Struggling with a game, not because of its difficulty but because it still has it's old flawed control mechanics in place is bullshit."
I have no connection with the the original game and its control mechanics. As of right now with the state of polished platformer mechanics, All I see is a platformer with a flawed control scheme, coasting on nostalgia.

Ah sorry, I forgot that you weren't a fan of the original. I still love the lack of a jump forces you to use the grapple mechanic.

I have a hard time believing that it can suffer from the same problems as a 2D side-scrolling game though.
