Would of called it Blog of Blogs, but my girlfriend pointed out that it would mean I was blogging about blogs in general. And then I'd have to shoot myself.

Let me know what you think.

A quick review about The Incredible Hulk. Nothing too special, just a cut and dry review stating my obvious liking of it.

I gave this homeless bum change once. He was a badass percussionist with his Metro Card. Fuck You.
Thread Starter
See, you've mixed up the two men. The other guy who was a percussionist was neither bad ass or homeless. He was just a piece of shite.

But yeah, if the guy had talent, change is deserved.

I appreciate the fuck you sentiment.
Oh, no. I literally gave money to a real person. Homelessly percussing.

You do realize there are people other than you in the world that have problems that you don't know about?

Yeah, sorry your subway ride was ass. Your life is so terrible. Seriously, stop writing blogs. They're painful.

Ugh, you know I wrote a whole crazy insane thing in here, and then realized that no matter what I say, you'll still think my blog is painful and I suck and I'll still think you have a little too much hate toward me and the blog. If you don't like it, I guess you won't read it. Unless you're a glutton for punishment. But I doubt that.

You have an opinion, so do I. You hate my blog, I hate your comments. At least we have a little bit in common, right?
We have a lady in Lawrence who plays the maracas all day long for change. She might not even be homeless. Anyway, she's become kind of a town joke, so everyone pays her more than they normally would. Pretty good idea. Probably wouldn't work if Lawrence weren't so small. And in love with irony.

Not as hate spewing as my other blogs. Actually, a very simple thing to hate, to be honest. It's long though, so a warning to those who hate reading.

Yeah. I can't remember the last time I actually looked forward to a new Steve Martin movie.

It's going to take something really good to put him back. But all it takes is one movie because I think a lot of people have a soft spot for him. We all remember that he actually used to be both a good comic and a straight man. And we also know he's a very intelligent man and a good writer.

So, it's not impossible.

(Did u mention Bowfinger in your blog? I thought that was pretty funny, if a tad uneven.)
I think Steve Martin could care less if he's in a good movie or not. It's all about writing for him now. When people sell out to fund a passion, is it really such a bad thing?

Maybe not. But surely he could "sell out" with a little style. It's possible that he doesn't give a shit. But maybe he should. A little bit.

Cassavettes would "sell out" in Hollywood so he could make his own, very interesting work. But he had the sense to be in "good" mainstream fare and not just any bullshit his agent threw on the desk.

Steve Martin used to be a brand of quality. He really should try to preserve that. Because, these are bad films and they will eventually stop bringing bank. And once the films themselves start bombing he might not get a chance to save face on the silver screen.

Thank you. It's true, selling out doesn't always mean making utter shit.

It's weird that people have been telling me his work in... Baby Mama is really good. Um, yeah... I bet it is.

I think he'll come back... one day. If not, we'll always have his legacy before 1997.

And you know what? I forgot to mention Bowfinger, not because I didn't like it (thought he was good in it) but that's a movie I was going to mention in my article about Eddie Murphy entitled, "Why driving a transvestite ruins your film career".

I look forward to reading that. The last Eddie Murphy movie I can remember liking (besides Bowfinger) was Metro. But you won't get me to go on the record to say that's actually a good movie. I just find it weird that after a Wes Craven horror movie he decided to do a balls-out action movie. And it surprised and entertained me, despite the fact that when you look at it, it's a kind of stupid film.

Oh, and I also thought Life was pretty good. Bad age makeup aside, it was well directed by Ted Demme.

But, I imagine we're not talking about the "experimental action star Eddie" or the "let me try my hand at drama Eddie." You mean the Eddie that we all loved when we could recite Delirious and Raw verbatim, don't you? Where's that guy? Why has he decided to make these fucking shitty, unfunny "comedies" for 11-year-olds?

So, now that this has actually segued into Eddie Murphy territory, maybe you should just write that thing.

Oh, I shall. The more I think about it, the more I'm writing just about his downfall.

And it's funny, I was just re-watching Metro the other day, and I have to agree. It's so bad in a good way. A decent action film that could've spring boarded him into new territory. But then... well, we know what came afterwards.

And yes, I shall be speaking about the all or nothing days, when every other word was pussy, cock, fuck and more pussy. Speaking about his SNL days as well, which he and Joe Piscopo were the saving grace. I still wonder if I'll be the only one who will still be buying the sets in those dreadful seasons, or the ones with Anthony Michael Hall and Julia Louis Dreyfuss.

Hopefully will get the new article up tomorrow night. Going to see Hellboy II, so that might put a damper on it a bit.

I had written a whole thing about Sylvester Stallone before the Rocky and Rambo resurgence. It's not as relevant now, but if he does that proposed Cliffhanger or Daylight sequel, then I'll be publishing it.
You wouldn't be the only one buying those SNL sets. Murphy and Piscopo really were enough to save those entire 90 minutes. It's a wonder they never made movie together. They could have been every bit as cool as Aykroyd and Belushi (I even like Neighbors, believe it or not)

And the old Best of Eddie Murphy - SNL vhs is worn out from all the times I watched it.

About Stallone: Hey, I'd pay good money to see Gabe Walker or Kit Latura. Especially if he directs either of those films.

New article is going to be put up in a few hours, probably after midnight. Taking another showing of Batman the Tim Burton film, just to watch Nicholson's Joker right before I see tomorrow night's The Dark Knight.

New I Miss... article is about Michael Keaton, but it's actually a more positive one, showcasing my like for the guy and his almost vanishing act in the last 10 years. Well, from good movies that is.

Not sure why I'm writing novels about each person, but the more I hate or love them, it just comes spewing out.

I have a few ideas for other people to put on the spot, but does anyone have any suggestions as well? Let me know.

Good looking out for Keaton. My favorite actor.

I'll watch him in anything. I even liked The Squeeze. The only movie in the world where you can see Meat Loaf get stabbed by The Empire State Building.

Back to the fourth installment of the I Miss... series. This time it's a brief look at Mike Myers. Because that's all I deemed worthy for him.
I actually think Mike Myers is pretty talented.

But you're right. He became frustratingly complacent and boring very quickly.
Sorry to break up the flow. Just to go back a post to the one before where you mentioned Shane Meadows, have you watched A Room For Romeo Brass? I think it's my favourite. The way things turn with Paddy Considine in that film is so hard to watch but marvellous, and I thought Andrew Shim gave a great performance (also many years later in This Is England).

Erix: See, I thought he was talented on SNL and the first few movies he did, I saw that potential to really go far. Then something happened. I don't know what it was, but something fell apart in his head that he just gave up trying to come up with new characters with their own personality. *sigh* It always makes me sad to see that happen.

Mallard: I know. Paddy Considine has been giving great performances in everything I've seen him in since his debut in that film. It's sad what happens to him and to the other boys... it's a great character piece which just builds up with these little things that occur between all three friends. Man, I need to watch it tonight now. Sadly it's only region 2 on DVD. And yes, I agree. Andrew Shim put in a great performance as the title character.

Ghost World is one of my favorite films.

I don't really understand why Thora Birch doesn't have Scarlett Johannson's career. She's A) hotter and B) a better actress.

She should have switched agents long ago.

Man oh man, do I 100% agree with that one. I mean, Thora Birch was always gorgeous to me and could act her way out of a paper bag. She had American Beauty under her belt too, so I don't know what happened.

Sadly I see she's in a film called Cavegirl being made right now, where she plays the title character of Cavegirl. Where it's about teenage cavegirls who want teenage caveboys. That sounds... fantastic. It's like the O.C. but instead should be titled the B.C.

Wow, I should be given the marketing tools for Hollywood.

haha I know, I'm probably going to buy a few because I already know my parents want copies signed by me. Lame parents, but I love them for it.

And thankfully they offer free shipping with orders. Not sure how far they ship out to though. I can ask them, just to make sure.

It is really a fun magazine. Some of the articles are very in depth, and even though it's a ton of stuff I know about, they put a different spin on things.
