Stream of Consciousness, Not Unlike Urine.

So... I'm a new Blogger here on Chud. This first one's really just a bunch of bullshit. But, by all means, give me a warm Chud welcome to the site and keep reading. It will get better in time.

Fellow blogger here.

Good times here. Wanted to know how was Street Kings anyway. It had two people that made me consider seeing it. Hugh Laurie and Forrest Whitaker.

It couldn't have been all bad. Could it?

Hey... Actually I ended up seeing Indy again instead. Which will be the subject of the next blog. Stay tuned. I'm posting it later today. A friend of mine has a crush on Hugh Laurie. So I may end up seeing Street Kings eventually anyway.

Thanx for reading.

It'll probably be easier if I just compile all my blogs on one thread. I noticed the other bloggers do that and it seems more organized.

Blog 1: (Where I introduce myself)

http://chud.com/articles/blogs/525/S...roduction.html

Blog 2: (Where I piss everyone off by liking Indy 4 and Return of the Jedi)

http://chud.com/articles/blogs/559/W...PLE-Agent.html

Blog 3: (Where I bitch about stuff no one gives a fuck about but me)

http://chud.com/articles/blogs/586/I...My-Throat.html

Enjoy.

As per Nick's request, I will now be compiling all my blogs right here. It's better that way. Nick is right. And I'm not just doing that to wax his car.

Here are the Shyamalan blogs.

Unbreakable

In particular, Rex Reed's piece is one of the worst bits of "criticism" I've ever read in my life. But, fuck Rex Reed. Ebert hated it too, but at least he did so with actual wit.
Rex Reed is a crazy old man not worth taking seriously. Ebert's review is more interesting (as is his Lady in the Water review) because he was a staunch supporter of Shyamalan from The Sixth Sense to Signs. He was also one of maybe two "top" critics to write about The Happening favorably.

Rex Reed is a crazy old man. I second the motion... He's a crazy cocksucker, motherfucker, fuck fuck fuckitty fuck fuck fuck.

Anyway, here's a rant on the new Hulk movie. Feel free to hate me.

Don't worry. This one has nothing whatsoever to do with M. Night Shyamalan.

What I love is that Hancock is called Tonight, He Comes everywhere else for the most part. I guess in the good ol' USA, that's too lewd. But having cock in the title is just fine.

And kids that do that... irritate me to no end in sight. Just want to lead them into a room and prop their eyes open ala' A Clockwork Orange by showing them good films and every time they say something, they get shocked.

Great read as usual. Glad to have you back.

Yeah, giving kids the Ludevico treatment sounds like a plan. Glad u enjoyed the post.

I didn't know the movie had actually been released anywhere with that title. That's actually pretty funny, because I can imagine the head scratching for audiences that wonder why the fuck it's called that.

It's a mystery I'll take to my grave, but I will always refer to that movie by its "original" title.

The Nocturnia Chronicles - Chapter I: It's All About Bareback, With A Quick Release

So... A little self-promotion goes a long way? I don't know. But I tried to make this advertisement as readable as possible.

Good luck! When it makes it to netflix, I'll be honored to remember it.
Glad to hear it's coming out. I can't wait to see it. Did I see the Minibosses are featured musically in it? I'm sold just with that alone.

But congrats again. Oh, and sorry it took so long for my extremely thorough Eddie Murphy article. I didn't realize how much I hated the path he has chosen. It just spewed right out of me.

Sam: The pleasure is all mine.

Coolasquentin: So that it won't be an anti-climax... I use a minibosses track as background music during one scene. It's a good track and it's a nice scene, but that's all. The bitch of it will be if they sign off on it. (They said yes. But that was 3 years ago - ditto Asobi Seksu - (who since then went on to sign with a label, I think) - but they're friends of friends, so I think I'll be able to pull it off. (Don't feel too bad about Eddie Murphy. When you make the kinds of choices he's made, u deserve all the grief you get. So, he's had it coming for years now.)

Thanx guys.

Great blog, and I know what you mean. I'm 28, still play video games, watch way too many movies, into way too many comics (also buy tpbs because I can't afford $3 a comic every week), love anime, collect too many toys, buy too many vinyl records, and am a pop culture nerd. But luckily my girlfriend supports it and even embraces most of it. Hence why we've been together for over 5 years now.

But yeah, I don't feel wiser, really. Even though plenty of my friends look to me for advice all the time. I just think I make the right decisions most of the time, make a few mistakes that might fuck me over for awhile but then I get back on the horse and keep going.

The blog put my life also in perspective and I realize I've wasted a hell of a lot of time with not getting my films made. I finally have an article being published in a film magazine called Paracinema. So that's a bit exciting, but making movies is a passion and I commend you for making a film.

Bah, I'm speaking way too much. Just know that I also think my farts smell the same, even after all these years.

The Nocturnia Chronicles - Chapter II: Where's Don LaFontaine When You Need Him?

Care to check out a commercial?

http://chud.com/articles/blogs/1196/...-Need-Him.html

Didn't think so.
I've been away awhile, and when I saw it was your trailer for your film, I had to watch it. Love the use of the song. I also love how the trailer starts off very lovely and carefree and gets rather dark and violent toward the end. I would watch this and if it's ever screening in NYC, please let me know.

Is it foreign language? I know you're in Bolivia, but I don't ever want to assume. It really doesn't matter anyway, as long as the subtitles are correct. I remember watching a subtitled version of Haute Tension before it came out here. Completely wrong translation. It's rather hysterical, actually.

But I'm moving away from the original intent. I liked the trailer a lot, and I'm a big fan of movie trailers. Can't wait to see it.
Thread Starter
Glad you enjoyed it. The whole laid back to dark approach was intentional and was one of my notes to them before the trailer was made. I'm happy to see it was effective for you. I'll be sure to pass your kudos on to the powers that be.

The movie is entirely in English. I shot it in NY 5 years ago with local actors. I think one of the strategies in the marketing is to not draw attention to the fact that it's essentially an American film being released as a Bolivian one.

I supervised the Spanish subtitling myself, by the way, so any fumbles will have to be laid squarely at my feet.

If all goes according to plan, the movie will be available to rent or own on DVD by early next year I think.

We may have some limited screenings (certainly in NY) but that hasn't been confirmed just yet.

There's more to come, so stay tuned and I appreciate your interest.

So... Here it is. Call me self-indulgent if you must. I'm hoping it's entertaining. Begin reading The Watchmen Experience by clicking on the link below... And cycle through it. Links are provided within for all subsequent chapters... Go ahead and just leave the YouTube clips playing as you read. It's more fun that way.

It's a pretty long piece of shit. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Watching the Watchmen for me turned out to be quite an experience... So it's only fair that it be that way to read about it.

Enjoy.

THE WATCHMEN EXPERIENCE.

I hope this self-indulgence makes up for the fact that it's been a month between blogs.

When Evo Morales’ hunger strike was announced, I laughed like a crazy hyena. What I can’t believe is that his little stunt worked.

The world is going mad!

It’s too bad two other South American countries are run by alternate versions of Morales. Saying these countries are run by monkeys would be an insult… to the monkeys.
