I'm about half way through, and the book's kinda good though. Not exactly revelatory to me personally, but Vern brings the L.O.L. as always.

Some of my favorite movies are the kind of '80s and '90s action movies Joel Silver pioneered. 48 Hours. Die Hard. The Last Boyscout. Long Kiss Goodnight. But as you can tell, and I'm not being snarky, I only had a taste for the classy ones. Between Hot Fuzz and this book, I'm starting to develop and appreciation for the more simplistic and possibly awful ones. There's something to be said about a movie both that's legitimately fun
and the entertaining kind of shitty.
That doesn't mean I'm ever going to watch a Chuck Norris movie or a Dolph Lundgren DTV joint, but a few of these Seagall movies are a great time. And it's very funny to watch them while keeping track of his obvious thematic influences. Vern does a great job flying through his filmography and he has some very funny insights. I love the idea that Anthony Anderson and Tom Arnold are the R2-D2 and C3PO of the Anderzej triology.
