Moyers' final punch in that ambush video was absolutely beautiful. The other guys shaming the O'Reilly stooge while he was walking out was pretty painful to watch, though.
Also, those speeches from the first post are great stuff, and are really inspirational on the base level of being a citizen, involvement with journalism not withstanding. I thought Bill Moyers' speech was particularly good, but I must say that one of the most thoughtful points came from Rather regarding for-profit news. It struck me when it said what he did about a news source's owner feeling obligated to the citizenry. I suppose that is what we are to lament in today's news culture (which is the point of that conference, natch), but I think that benevolent rich people are something that a lot of people forget when talking about the state of the news media and its future.

Here's that New Yorker piece that Moyers mentioned in his talk, and I think that it really is one of the best pieces on the media I've read in quite some time. I'd highly recommend reading it, as it's very provocative and sobering in a few regards.
