What's this I hear about Bill Murray beating his wife?

Saw a tabloid today(a bastion of information, I know)that reports that Bill Murray has beaten his wife.

He does strike me as a tempermental person, but this news has shocked me.

Even if there's truth to the accusation, I hope the rest of his divorce is in dignity, and that it doesn't hurt Murray's career. Murray's had the good fortune to be selective of his work as of late-barring Garfield-and I would hate to see that this would force Murray to make a ton of crap just to meet ends meet to pay lawyer bills, etc.
