Mainly posting this to see if there's any Melvins fans in the Chud house (probably). Don't know if this is released yet, you can already stream it to listen from a Dutch music site: http://3voor12.vpro.nl/luisterpaal/ (along with a lot of others).
First few listens: nnnice. It's one of my favorite livebands for the moment, esp since the addition of the Big Business rhythm tandem, and the last record was great. NIB picks up on the last one's seventies rock influence, then takes it all the way. Basically it's 70s grooverock played by the Melvins (duh). Very obvious power riffs infused with weird stutter rhythms & breaks. And great layered vocal harmonies all over the place, which is probably courtesy of bassplayer Jared Warren (holy shit does that guy have a throat).
Sound quality seems a little underwhelming, but that's probably the stream. Can't wait to hear the proper cd, or better yet: live!
