Metalocalypse Season II

This season has been hit or miss for me, but Dethcarraldo and Cleanso are brutally memorable.

I think Dethgov has been the funniest episode of the series so far.

"I'm eating chiiiiiips!"

I love the fact that he named the hurricane "Scrambles the Death Dealer."

The body count is over the top this season.

I'm pretty sure if they keep going, they won't have anyone left to kill for next season.

I haven't seen an episode since the one ended with the dude getting ready to eat the baby.

I know it's just a cartoon, and is ment to be over the top, but that was too much really. I'll probably rent the entire season later, but that really put me off the show.

If I was fourteen I might like this show.

A few months ago I was sick and spend a couple of days watching the first seasons of Metalocalypse and Robot Chicken on a portable DVD player in bed.

Good times.

Thanks for telling us what you might do if you were like two decades younger. I'm sure if you were 14 you'd probably take steps to avert a life of utter and complete failure, as well.

Uncool, Drew. The correct response was "if you were fourteen, the show would be a couple of crude smearings of mammoth feces on the wall of a cave. In Atlantis."

Thanks for playing.

This seasons hasn't been hitting my sweet spot so far, but Angela Gossow as a succubus after Nathan's sperm = win.

I kinda watch this sporadically - if it's on I'll leave it on but I don't actively seek it out. Last one I saw they were recording on a submarine or something?

At any rate - the real reason I'm posting - I've thought and thought about it and I hve no idea how that Dethklok live tour is gonna work? Am I just a dumbass or what?
It apparently works like the Gorillaz concerts worked: Actual band on stage, cartoon/video images in back of band.

I'm still pissed I was stuck working the night that tour hit up here.

Oh...so was that hologram thing just a one-shot for that awards show? For some reason I kind of assumed that was how they did all of their shows. Well that does indeed explain it.

Somehow I only got my first taste of this show today, despite being a minor metal head and a big fan of 'similar' shows. Enjoying the first 2 seasons so far; hell, I was sold as soon as I heard that amazing theme song. Yeah, it's not Venture Bros funny but it certainly has its moments. For some reason any time a character is talking I can NOT stop looking at the mouth animation, it's *really* solid.

Also, Dethalbum. HELL YES. Into the Water, Birthday Dethday and Thunderhorse are some of my new favorite tracks.

Skwisgar Skwigelf is the best!

Well, here's some good news.

Season 3 is changing over to the half hour format and Dethalbum II is coming out soon.

Saw an ad on Adult Swim. New Dethklok album Sept. 8th.

The ad has a clip of a new song called "Cyborg Killer". Pretty brutal.

It was obvious that Sepultura was an influence on that whole episode. That and Fitzcarlado. And Cannibal Holocaust.
