Nas - Recent output and "N*gger"

Just heard a couple of Nas's latest output.

"I'm On" (http://www.thelifefiles.com/dr-ar-ex...nnoying-im-on/ )and "Be a nigger too".

Both tracks are hot. The DJ Khaled is a lot more commercial, and radio friendly, but Nas still spits fire.

Anybody else looking forward to the new album?

I think NIGGER is now called HERO. At least that's what the press releases that inexplicable come to my email box say.

Really? Cool. Good to know.

I guess the whole thing was just a publicity stunt, then. Just like a bunch of people thought.

Wait, it was HERO last week, this week's press releases say UNTITLED.

That link's broken, I do believe.

Nas has been quoted as saying, "everyone knows what the real title is." And since it features his back with a giant N covered with whip scars, I think it's safe to assume it's still called "Nigger". It's his way of saying "fuck you" to to the record company for backing out.

The word is it's slightly uneven musically, but strong lyrically. Should be interesting to say the least.

Thats how I felt about Hip Hop is Dead. The production bored me to tears but the lyrics were great. I really hope there is some good production on this one cuz I really don't listen to Hip Hop Is Dead as much as some of his other albums.

i heard "Black President", thought it was going to be a bit more incendiary than it was. Was not really impressed. I'll get it, but I can't say I'm excited for this like I was with HHID (which was ok, but overall disappointed me a bit).

Honestly, that's kinda how I've always felt about Nas. I love his lyrics, but his music is just a little bland. Most of it sounds like it could be done with a beat box and a Casio.

Yeah, Nas' biggest weakness has always been the beats. He gets lucky sometimes but most aren't very strong.

The beat for "Hero" is insane, IMO.

'Hero' is sick. And Nas spits crazy on that track.

Has anybody been to a Nas concert before? Does he have much of a stage show/presence?
