One day, they'll make movies about the Lara Logans and the Michael Wares of this war and how they persevered for the truth and to tell these stories, even if the government and media corporations said no one was listening. What they do is journalism at its finest; ultimately, readership is unimportant because the public is fickle and easily distracted. What matters is getting to the truth and documenting that truth so that through all the lies and distortions, that truth will exist for those that seek it.

This reminds me of when I saw this incredibly beautiful physicist being interviewed on I think it was The Universe, but I could be wrong. She looked like a supermodel but was a scientist, and while officially that's awesome it sorta pisses me off because it means somewhere out there a studio casting director is watching the tube and shouting "See?! I was right to cast Denise Richards as nuclear scientist Christmas Jones!"

When I see women this beautiful who also happen to be luminaries in their professional field and ALSO have first and last names that start with the same letter I reflexively think to myself "If that was a character in a movie nobody would believe it, it's too unrealistic!" Damn you movies for bending my mind in such a way...

First, it's the fucking New York Post, tabloid journalism.

Second, here is the problem with his tautology.

Two dudes fighting over one woman: that fucking slut!

Two women fighting over one dude: those fucking sluts!

Why is this even news? Because she is a prominent war reporter who happens to be capable at pointing out where the American media has failed again and again in it's responsiblity. So yeah, the New York Motherfuckering Post claims she's a slut. Way to respond to her complaint.

My main reaction was toward the NY Post. That article was not just a story, it was an attempt on character assassination. And judging by Snaieke's previous posts his adoption of what the article said was assumed. If what he posted was just in jest and in keeping with the thread's spirit, I apologize. I just don't think so.

Two good looking reporters fight through the lies of the Bush administration only to commit their own in their personal lives.

All this over paintings that were probably burned/defaced/destroyed on a regular basis anyway.

I have a chunk of the Berlin Wall from when I was in Germany when I was 13(pocketed from the wall itself, not bought). It's a good bit different, since this is a piece of art(and in turn, history), but I can't believe people are that eager to keep paintings of Saddam around at the moment.
