Girl Talk --- Feed the Animals

Available as a "set your own price" download at illegal art.

Anything gives you mp3's. Five or more gives you a choice of mp3's or FLAC files. 10 or more gives you all that plus a hard copy of the CD when it comes out (for three bucks shipping). Not bad!

Of course, I haven't heard the music yet. Back soon...

Damn good so far. I was worried because I heard it was going to be more like Secret Diary, which I actually kind of despise compared to Night Ripper. It's not as frantic as NR, but I love a lot of the rock samples (classic rock like the band, 80's Springsteen and even some old R & B/Soul classics).

On first listen it's nearly as infectious as Night Ripper. And as a bonus, the tracks don't end after two minutes.

Oh, man. Paranoid Android sampled? Metallica's One vs. that Lip Gloss song? The mans outdone himself on this one. I've listened to it a few times and I dig it quite a bit.

Agh, sold. Just waiting on something else to finish transferring before I start this one off. Thanks for the heads-up, Parker.

Yeah, the Paranoid Android sample with the Jay-Z lyric was amazing. I also like how melded Ghetto Superstar into the Carpenters' Superstar. Listened through it once, I think I like it better than Night Ripper.

I do too. I don't like to jump the guns on things like this, but I think it's something of a mash-up party record masterpiece. I was so giddy about this album it kept me up until 3am.

Busta Rhymes works surprisingly well with "Every Lilttle Thing She Does is Magic." And when the Faith No More sample kicked in on "What It's All About," I almost lost it...but then it's trumped by the Jackson 5/Queen ending. All in one song (and that's just a few mentions!) Woof.

Also, the man can sample Nirvana, Snoop, Kraftwerk, Jermaine Stewart, Salt n Peppa, The Beach Boys, Bizzare Inc, Dee-Lite and fucking Roy Orbison in one song and have it somehow make sense.

If Night Ripper was the note you pass to the cute girl called music, this ones the love letter. Pretty amazing record.

Shit, I forgot about the "Lithium" sample. That was another great moment.

I downloaded this last night--I went for the mp3 option--but I haven't given it a spin (or whatever you call listening to music on your computer; a click? Ugh.) yet.
