I think the cost of producing SGU was pretty high, with the relatively large cast and FX, and exceeded the revenue from the low ratings it got. The MGM bankruptcy probably didn't help matters. I imagine that Caprica went through something of the same thing.

Still, I liked SGU a lot, though I never watched Caprica. I imagine a lot of Stargate fans wanted Stargate: The Next Next Generation, put that formula was getting rather stale and they needed to try something different. It's unfortunate that they failed.

Terriers getting such low ratings is a shame.

You might be right, but MGM TV hasn't said anything, so I'm just blatantly going to blame SyFy. Any channel that produces an abomination like their version of Beauty and The Beast should be punished for crimes against humanity.

Wanted to chime in on your Guy.com article, natalia. All those things are certainly handy. Especially the toothbrush. Sharpen the end of it, and it not only fights plaque and cavities, but it can fight hostile persons/things!

That's a great idea! I can't believe I didn't think about that.

Yeah, the idea jumped into my head after reading it, and also, I'd seen it on the prison show OZ. It seemed like a good idea to have something non-threatening be used as a weapon.
