New record comes out tomorrow. Click here and listen to "Always a Friend." If you tell me that's not the best song you've ever heard, I'll tell you that you suck a fuckin' dick.

I'm not quite as eloquent as DaveB when it comes to discussing new music.

Anyway, I've been a big fan of the man for years and his new record's getting some of the best reviews of his career. This should be greatness.

the album's fucking great. i can't wait to see him do an in-store at waterloo records in austin tomorrow. it's fun having our ex-employess own the stage...

Excellent! So strange to hear such a happy (for the most part) sounding record from him. The More Miles than Money live compilation has been the soundtrack to my more suicidal evenings for years.

yeah, that album was the soundtrack for the semester i lived in waco, tx. seriously, a dark yet gaudy place. listening to "i wanna be your dog" while driving to work and back was some of the only bits of sunshine to break through the dreary routine.

Missed him at KAW on Saturday...it shall forever be one of my epic regrets. Also, I was at Waterloo on Lamar twice this weekend...wrong location?

right location but it was on thursday (which was probably misleading when i said "tomorrow" cause i'm always doing my posting late at night before bed so i always forget a new day has dawned...) but it was a great performance which we filmed and hope to have on youtube soon and it was also recorded for a later Live At waterloo CD release...
