This makes me sick to my stomach. Not only are they taking advantage of emotionally immature younger people, they're also abusing the power dynamic (whether the kids agree with that view, or not).

I know I'm probably misunderstanding what you're saying, ECA, but the way this reads to me is:
This woman is ugly, so she probably caused more damage than the teachers who are hotter (although, those teachers might have caused trauma, too).
Does it really matter what they look like? They all took egregious advantage of younger people who weren't able to make fully-formed decisions (again, the kids might argue that).
Eh, blech. It doesn't matter. Like I said, my stomach churns at the very thought of this. I hope, that if they're found guilty, they're put away for a very, very long time.
Also, is it just me, or does it seem like there are more reports of this happening with women teachers than men, as of late? Is it because the women's cases are sensationalized more? Do boys talk about it more, and hence they get found out? Are girls more afraid to report these things?
sigh...
