I've been totally away from society thanks to law school, but I'm glad I was able to bounce back after that abymal showing last year. Holding on to those 3 starting RBs paid off nicely.

It should, but the way the keepers worked out this year, the last person in the draft picks first. That's what happened in the draft this year. I won the league, but I got first pick. I think if we all keep 4 players (3 keepers and a rookie), then it will work out. I think the issue last year was almost everyone dumped their rookie and kept 3 players, which meant the draft started in Round 4, and that's when the last pick in the draft is up first.

Yeah, that won't happen again this year. I'll fix the order so it picks right next year.

And your not last. There are still four teams playing for the final four spots in the draft.

And since we went to the next page now, I'll re-post my question:

Is anyone interested in joining a Dynasty league? One of our guys is quitting after this season (he made the semi-finals in the playoffs, so you'd be inheriting a pretty decent team). It's $25/year, with a $170 payoff for first and $40 for second, plus a prize for most points scored in the season. 14 teams in the league, and it's almost a year-round thing. We do a rookie draft a few weeks after the NFL draft, and field an entire defense. PM me if you're interested.

I'm going to go ahead and call it--congrats to Gio for winning the 2008 CHUD league.

Oh, and I'd like to thank one of my FFL buddies who convinced me to keep Larry Johnson over Brandon Jacobs in the off-season. I will never ask your FFL advice again. I found out later that he had Larry Johnson in one of his keeper teams, so I guess his opinion was skewed.

The way I've always done consolation games is the teams are playing for a draft spot. Otherwise, the teams would just throw the games by playing their worst players. Plus, it gives you something still to play for after being eliminated

Thanks, gang. Wish I was around more to enjoy the sweet taste of victory.

The crazy thing is, I totally remembered swapping out Bush for Portis. I must've forgotten to click the "Save Changes" button before closing the browser window.

If Bush's knee is okay (which appears to be the case), I'll probably keep my same stable of RBs.

Bush is a pussy and not much of a RB. Plus you have Brandon Marshall and a FA QB in Cassell. Though if you do keep your 3 rbs I'd like to propose a trade when the next draft comes up.
