8-Bit Dr. Horrible

No idea how new or old this is. Sorry if it's been posted elsewhere.

It's a couple weeks old. Not long enough for the late pass, and they still haven't done part 3 yet.

The Brand New Day city-destroying minigame is brilliant.

An actor in Seattle put on a low budget stage version of Dr. Horrible. Went to it on Thursday. It was pretty fun. I'm not well-versed in theatre, but I thought a lot of the ways they adapted the story from screen to stage were pretty inventive. There was definitely a low-budget sweding spirit to the whole endeavor and I had a really good time with it.

The guy who played Dr. Horrible (as well as directing and developing the production) fared very well. The girl who played Penny had a much 'stagier' voice than Felicia Day, so that threw me off. And Captain Hammer... even when you take into account that he's trying to fill Nathan Fillion's shoes, I don't think he was right for the part at all.

The original was only about 45 minutes long, so they beefed it up with what they advertised as new songs. Turns out it was just 4 or 5 songs from COMMENTARY: The Musical. Kinda false advertising (unless I misread the information), but probably for the best in the end.
