It's a bit early, but production started on the 3rd, and I start again next week, so there you go.

I'll post some interviews and information.

You work on the show? Ignorant newbie here

Oh, and I cannot wait for S4. More underrated genre show on TV right now.
another reason i love this show, and why I am very jealous of Domingo is that every week they tend to have some new super hot chick either playing a damsel in distress or a demon.

Ya know fucking cars and other mechanical things is is a real mental disorder, it's true.

I think you 2 better apologize before they come and fuck YOUR car.

I've never made love to it, but I was up inside it, I stroked it, made it growl, AND gas petaled it. It was better than the hottest sex.

If you get a chance sneak a picture or 6,000 of it for me. I'm not easily jealous but I think you've got me green with envy.

All I have is some lowsy low res camera phone shots of me leaning on it. I'll get some high res stuff ASAP.

Some awesome casting news hidden below

Supernatural has cast The Wire's Robert Wisdom (Howard 'Bunny' Colvin) in the recurring role of Uriel, a dangerous, intimidating, aloof, imperious, contemptuous, humorless killer
post #13 of 697
I'm hoping Season 4 will be better than last year, especially with that irritating fuckwit Ruby off the show.
Ruby will return ya know.

Fan reaction towards her tended to be generally negative and since they couldn't pony up the dough to bring her back this season, I'm not expecting to see her any time in the near future.
Ruby was pretty great, IMO. I think most of the hate was directed at Bella, was it not? I think having Ruby around was an excellent new dynamic, after the demon reveal people seemed to warm to her. Maybe that was just where I post at usually.
Yeah I dug Ruby but hated Bella.
How could anyone hate Bella? She was a great foil... and hot, never forget hot.
The problem I had with Bella was that it seemed like the brothers were dumber just so she could win. It got better near the end, but it was weird seeing them taken in by her.

Ruby ended up great though.
I think the plan was obviously to make Bella seem more likeable gradually over the Season, so that you at least get a touch of sympathy toward her, instead they really had to rush her story at the end. But hey, she got a good send off.

I only just finished up Season 3 and can't believe how gruesome Dean's end was. That was some harsh shit. I hear that the CW isn't doing so good though so I really don't hope this show gets to be a casualty of the station.

Well I did read this interview.........don't know about the actual actress coming back though.

Tonight's the night, my friends:

Lazarus Rising (New)
In the fourth-season opener, Dean has been freed from Hell and reunites with Sam and Bobby, but the three don't know how he returned. Bobby: Jim Beaver.
Yay! Although I had visions of the first episodes being about Sam and Bobby trying to free Sam while Sam and Bella try to escape from Hell... sort of a "Great Escape: Supernatural Edition".
Really can't fucking wait for this. Puts most genre TV to shame.
Can't wait until episode 4 to see Mitch Pileggi as their grand daddy.
Wow binging Dean back this early? I thought they would of at least waited an episode or 2 before that. Ya know a few episodes of Sam going solo, maybe getting used to it and then bam Dean is back.

Don't worry fellas. I know you'll LOVE this first episode.
Oh shit! I'm going to have to go back and rent season 3. I wasn't that in love with the show but this episode is kick-ass so far.
So I hopped on in the mid-hour mark. Dean's back and he doesn't know how that happened. Is that pretty much all I missed?
I wasn't a fan of the AC/DC song they used, I don't think you could top the use of "Hells Bells".
Well shit, I thought the Angel thing after Ruby mentioned no Demon could pull Dean out, I didn't think it would end up being true (but who knows where it will actually go).

I thought this was a pretty damn good season opener.

I disliked both characters but I thought at least the woman who played Bella could act.

Anyway, a few notes:

- "The name is Wedge Antillies" - awesome.

"What makes you so special?"
"I like to think it's because of my perky nipples."

- Dammit, Ruby's back. Well, maybe they'll at least have a better actress this time and the character won't suck so hard.

- I like that they gave Testio the John Constantine look. And introducing angels was a stroke of genius. I think this guy is going to be a fan favorite.

Way long ahead super-prediction: Dean is an agent of Heaven, Sam is an agent of Hell and they're going to have to battle each other.
Hope they try to subvert the angel thing here. It would be boring if the angels turned out to be just good and one-dimensional.

See, I'm hoping that the angels are actually angels but they're fleshed out like demons. I thought it was a great revelation last season when they said that all demons were humans who had been corrupted by hell. I don't need the angels to actually be evil or (and I really hope they don't do this), some kind of creature masquerading as angel.

But I think tonight clearly showed that angels aren't just good and one-dimensional. Right now, they (or at least Testio) seems more transcendent to their actions.
I don't think they're going to go the some other creature route, it's gotta be something big to scare that demon shitless (or eyeless whatever), Testio is either an angel or shit he could be Lucifer.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what they have planned for this.
Where did this Testio come from? His name is Castiel.

Well he seemed like a dick to me. I mean, there had to be something Castiel could've done not to burn out the seer's eyes.

Agreed 100 percent. It's gonna be on for the Winchester boys.

How 'bout Sam's new force powers: he didn't just evict the demon from that waitress' body, he absolutely destroyed it.

Question: the girl in Sammy's room at the beginning was Ruby in her new form, right? And, therefore, can I assume that Sam and Ruby are doing it?

Sole Criticism: The girl who now plays Ruby is terrible. If you're going to play the same character inhabiting a new body, you should probably adopt some of the previous actress' mannerisms. This new Ruby did not. She was all kinds of earnest and lacked Ruby's sardonic humor (although, apparently, I'm the only one who enjoyed Ruby the first time around).

Left Field Speculation: Satan was an angel. Perhaps Castiel is Satan. Thus, he wouldn't be lying when he told Dean he was an angel, just leaving the "fallen" part out. It would also explain his willingness to burn an innocent's eyes out.

I can't wait to see where this goes.

Also, next week's episode is titled, "Are you there, God? It's me, Dean Winchester". Ha!
Outstanding episode!

Castillio is a bad ass. I thought it was God who saved Dean when they showed the red hand mark and when the tv popped on when he was stealing the money. I thought maybe it was like "Hey! You're on the side of angels now, we don't do that!"

I couldn't have asked for a better season starter. Demons getting slapped, Angels wearing eyeliner and Sammy's in touch with the darkside.

Outstanding!

Yeah, you and Matt are right about the dickish quotient there. But I can't help but think that they might have passed a chance to really go to some scary and interesting places with its first appearance. Looking forward to where they go from here. I sure am judging this one early.

For real? That's kind of awesome.

I enjoyed this. I've been wondering if/when they were going to introduce God/Angels since the episode where they were trying to figure out if an avenging angel was killing people.

I just hope that they stay grounded (relatively). My favorite aspect of the show is the effort to put 'grit' into the environments, the supporting players, and pretty much everything else.

And to try and answer the question posed above - I think they wanted the audience to think that neo-Ruby and Sam were sleeping together when Dean found them, but following Ruby's reveal I think its more likely that they're travelling/training together. Who knows, though?

Told ya about Ruby coming back! Im one of the ones that really liked her, shame they couldn't get the original actress though.

AnywayI hope thats not true. Or I hope it is but it's switched around. I don't want it to just be as simple as Angel is good and demon is bad. They have been toying with the idea of that Ruby isn't all that good and she is just trying to get Sam to use his powers and become the demon leader she originally wanted to follow. Plus im tired of that old thing they do with these shows, the whole if you use your powers that makes you evil. Can't anyone just have powers and use them?

I hope they set up it like what your seeing now and then switch. I hope the Angel has some plan he doesn't want demons or god to know about and I hope Ruby really is trying to help Sam. Although I hope they explain why Ruby isn't evil like the rest. But im probably wrong and it's going to play out just like everyone is saying. I mean it makes sense. Ruby was ready to follow Sam when he became leader of the demons. She protects him from other demons. And now she is going around eliminating other demons and training Sam so he can take his place amongst the throne.

Here's a crazy idea. What if the white light at the end of last season (his "immunity") was actually the hand of God saving him or some such thing.

My initial gut reaction was that it would end up being a cain v. able type deal where Dean was good and Sammy was evil... but now I'm thinking perhaps, juuuust perhaps they're both God's agents in the long run. I can totally see them riffing "We're on a mission from God"
I can't see Sammy vs Dean in the long run at all. After 3 seasons of these guys (literally) selling their souls to save each other, I can't see them battling on opposite sides. There may very well be a conflict of interests at some stage, maybe a difference in means and motives, but good vs evil? I don't see that happening.
Great episode..I also see a potential "We're on a mission from God" line coming very soon. Has there ever been any mention of any Angels prior to this episode?

They touched on it briefly during the second season episode "Houses of the Holy". Though whether angels really existed was kinda of left up in the air, until this episode.

Well all everyone has been saying is that they will be fighting against each other. I mean I really don't think that Sam will go full on evil. I think he will be tricked into it somehow. And at the end of it Sam or Dean (depending on who the bad one is) will be pulled back from the dark side by his brother.

I thought he did try? During the seance she said, "No, sorry Castiel, I don't scare easy" and "It's whispering to me, warning me to turn back." Even Bobby told her maybe they should stop. Not that she deserved what happened, but it sounded like Castiel tried to spare her the sight, but was being "invoked, conjured, and commanded" and didn't have too many other choices.

Bobby's expression after hitting Dean in the face with the holy water was pricessless.
"I told you to take care of her, not... douche her up!"

"You were NOT invited!"

And the whole holy water gag was great, downplayed both visually and by the actors, which made it all the funnier.
I really, really missed this show. Great to have it back.

I come bearing gifts!

"Supernatural's numbers were great, as the season premiere drew 3.96 mil — a 33 percent increase over the previous opener and the series' best CW performance ever."
Your gifts are bountiful, and we humbly accept them. Praise to thee.
