Pretty friggin' entertaining little film.

Illeana Douglas is having way too much fun here, as is Daniel Stern, whose performance reminded me a little of Very Bad Things.

Oh, and it has an AMAZING soundtrack. Definitely worth a rent.

It really doesn't have an ending though. Certainly not a satisfying one. Or one that makes sense. Aside from Douglas, I thought Ashley Johnson did a good job as the victim. Certainly could have been a Masters of Horror ep.

Yeah, it ain't perfect. I thought the ending made sense for the film, though... and it's better than the alternate one on the dvd. Does seem like they didn't knew were they wanted to go with it... and if the movie was going to be popular enough for Otis to return.

It's kinda funny, but if you were to watch the movie without all the music I'm pretty certain that it'd be a creepy ass little film. It's responsible for most of the goofy feeling to it.

EDIT- Although I'm wondering if it's the music that made Spooky Dan write that ridiculous line that's been plastered all over the ads for this (you know, the "Juno for the horror set" one)

Yeah, I liked a lot about Otis. Bostin Christopher was excellent, and his date scenes with Ashley Johnson were creepy as hell. The so-called ending left me with a bad taste, but overall it was a fun little movie.

Actually, that would be interesting to see. Though, I'm pretty sure Stern would come off as hammy without the musical support.

It was a fun little movie with good, hammy performances by everyone. Nothing earth shattering but as Alex said it's a worthy rental.

Not as good as I was expecting based on things I had heard before seeing it. Wasn't really happy with the ending either. I do agree with Matchstick that it would've made a great masters of horror episode
