I'm pretty sure a new punch-out has been hinted at on kotaku. The downside? It uses the wii fit balance board for ducking and weaving.

Goodbye free time. Been nice knowing ya.

Yeah, that part I like...might have to restart my membership.

It's too bad they don't have a Hulu client yet. If they got that I could probably cancel my cable television service.
The entire New Metallica Album available as Guitar Hero DLC simultaniously
post #60 of 219
"Lips" is just a hilariously bad name for a game. Liked the use of "Young Folks" though.

Oh god the awkwardness just keeps coming.
Riddick 2?
Oops, Sony, you forgot to make sure FFXIII stayed exclusive. You are officially retarded.
Somebody wake up Jacob Singer! There's JRPG news!
So i wonder if this new 360 dashboard update will be mandatory. The way it looked at presentation it will make all your themes and gamerpics obsolete.
REM DLC is also going to Guitar Hero.

Orange Crush was a ton of fun in RB. This is disappointing.
Nice to have a release date for RE5 finally.

Gears of War 2 on the 7th? I wonder if we'll get Iron Man/GTA IV style headlines about how it might affect Quantum of Solace's box office take.

I got all excited about the Portal news for a second, fuck 360 exclusivity.
Yeah, because Iron Man was really hurt by it.

Yes. Watch streaming movies from Netflix on your 360... in the fall.

I want it now dammit!
Oh certainly not, I wasn't implying that, I was just saying that Gears might be big enough that we'll see that ludicrous argument brought out again.
Aah Sony...you managed to gain back a lot of that will you frivolously mis-spent over the past couple of years, but I have to admit, that FFXIII news: HILARIOUS!

This place is crazy!

Also- LA is hot and humid!
I'm a little bummed out about the FFXIII news. I own both systems, but I was hoping for my PS3 to see some big exclusives.

I haven't seen any screenshots but the new dashboard doesn't really sound exciting. I hope they don't get rid of the gamer pics because I have shitloads of 'em.
FFXIII Tactics (yay - or whatever) is still exclusive.

Tomorrow's big news is going to be a lacklustre presentation of Home. You know it to be true and very boring.

I want to take away only the positive, awesome stuff from that trailer, but they persist in showing that awful pause-aim-shoot mechanic.

Yeah, I'm not sold on that either, but still, what a great trailer.
Pause-Aim-Shoot worked pretty well with special abilities in Mass Effect so I don't really have a problem with it here.
It's jarring for a game that plays in the Oblivion sandbox. We'll have to wait and see - it's optional - like all the best features, so it's hardly something I can complain about.
Alex or Russ, is the convention center still "All Business" like it was said to be last year or have they tried to bring back a little of the dazzle of old E3's?
There's almost nothing in the CC today, but it's all business in general.

I don't hate it yet but all I see when I look at the screenshots are visions of my 360 chugging along and going kablooey trying to switch between blades, or whatever they'll call them now.

Also FF XIII? Big fat "who cares".

Man Left 4 Dead looks incredible. Also, funny to see Wii remote problems in the golf game. So much for 1:1.

Writing up the EA thing now... couldn't get the wifi to work in the theater.
Left 4 Dead's gameplay still has to win me over. I'm not a huge fan of that "move really fast forward-move really fast backward-shoot everything within range" style.
Will Wright owns. I'm pressing EA to make shirts that say 38% God.

Yeah, but they did some really interesting things with the co-op.. really forcing you to keep an eye out for your teammates. And it rewards you for working well as a team. I'll get the full details up soon, but I'm going to make it my mission to play that game this week.

hahaha. Soon it'll be 100%.

He really was the best part of the whole thing. Besides Bill Walton.

Anybody else call the 888 number in the Fallout trailer?

No, you?

I just gave it a call after you reminded me of it. Nothing interesting. Just the vault-tec spokesman saying thanks for calling and saying that there is 100 or so million customers on the line and the wait time will be some 50 thousand hours.
Well I thought it was funny.

Here's the article about EA's conference. If there are any weird sentences or anything, let me just say that I've been fighting with the hotel internet for the past 3 hours, and have been awake since Sunday afternoon.

Off to sleep to wake up early for Nintendo's conference!
Left 4 dead looks good - knowing Valve's stance on the PS3 architecture, it'll probably be a PC/360 experience.

Mirror's edge will turn out to be like Assassin's Creed. There were nice touches, like using her hand on the wall for support when going around a corner really quickly, but the combat'll be fucked and the level design repetative. Saying that, i'm still surprised its coming from DICE.
Well the next dashboard update is not optional. Good news is all the old themes and gamerpics will still be usable. Even with this i still dont like the new update. It just looks like its trying to be something else other than a video game console.
Damage Control 5: Chris Redfield and the Albino Africans is looking positively stunning.
Not much for the core gamer at Nintendo's big conference. Wii Motion Plus (which should've been a part of the original Wii Remote) looks pretty impressive though. No Kid Icarus, no new Zelda or Mario. No new non Wii-branded IPs.

I told myself that I wouldn't buy Wii Fit, but damn that balance board looks like fun.
I'm confused by the Wii music game. It doesn't seem like it's a game at all ... it just seems like pointlessness.

Yeah, the drums look like fun. The rest is a giant question mark of interactivity.
Yeah, that was a pretty weak shit Nintendo conference. The only thing of note really was Wii Speak. And that's all going to come down to how it's implemented in on-line games other than Animal Crossing, and how 3rd parties will be allowed to use it.

I'm actually kind of pissed that they didn't announce any sort of storage solution.
So the music plays regardless of my gyrations and fits on the living room floor? Where do I get in line for this awesome product?

The Nintendo conference seemed really lame and not a single game they showed made me sit up and go 'Wow!'.

I mean, Rayman? Seriously?
Well, the GTA game could be cool. And who knows how the snowboarding game will go. Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades could be interesting (if they do 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's).

I do think it's dumb that they think we should be excited that they are releasing more stupid accessories. When does the official Wii accessory holding accessory come out?
