It's close! Confirmed release dates- XBLA - 7/23 and PSN 7/24

I might be more excited to try this one out over Bionic Commando Rearmed, but it's incredibly close. I love me those 194X games.

Hells yes. I haven't played one of these vertical scrolling shooters since Vapor Trail, so count me in. Do you know if the co-op is online as well?

ETA: damn reading comprehension...glad to hear the co-op is online!

Fuck that looks amazing!

I can't wait for this. Now, I've got to get another PSN card for this release and the Who on Rock Band.

Alright, so who has this? I just got it for review and there's a contest going on... the first person to take a picture of how to unlock some secret unlockable gets a ton of stuff to give out to his/her readers. T-shirts and codes.

I almost bought this a couple days ago, but then I found out that BC: Rearmed is coming out in about three weeks and decided to save my monies. That, and I had recently bought Commando 3 and Super Stardust HD so I'm kinda covered for shooters for the time being. I will definitely be picking it up eventually, though.

Yeah, you made the smart decision. This one's decent but the one to beat will definitely be Bionic Commando Rearmed. Having played both I can tell you that that game trounces this one.

Although, man, shooting down the turrets on a battleship sure brings back some memories.

I bet. I loved the originals. Of course, I'm a Capcom fanboy so I'll buy almost anything they put out like this. Really, really hope these do well enough so they do a new Strider in a similar manner.

Hell, I'd take a straight port of Strider 2 to the Live Marketplace just to ensure that game gets played.

I sure hope (for your sake) you're talking about the arcade/PSone "Strider 2", and not the horror that was that Genesis version.
I got "1942 Joint Strike" a few days ago, and its a real blast...except Ive gotten old, man...I used to own the arcade versions back in my teenage years.
Also, expect every single game in my library to get screwed when BC:Rearmed is released...gonna play that for a LONg time.

I'm almost insulted by the insinuation. I tell you what, you meet someone who liked Strider Returns, you shoot that fucker dead where he stands.

Its a deal! Also, i apologize for said insinuation...but ive had my share of Strider-related problems ("What do you mean you "sold it"? Where the fuck is MY Strider cabinet?" Ryoken, age 15, local arcade).

Pffft. Wake me up when someone remakes R-Type.

1942 was cute and all but R-Type was a man's shoot-em-up.

I'll be "that guy" and ask "How about Aero Fighters? or "Thunderforce"?"

Found out what it is and am on the case. You have to beat the game in Wing King difficulty. This is gonna be a bitch.

Edit: Fuck this. Beat it and didn't unlock anything. No one knows what this is, eh?

Review of this and Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3. Never did figure out that damn unlockable!

I got Commando 3. It's not even entertaining with 3 players and when you didn't pay for it.
