A little early to be starting a thread about this, but yeah, the premiere date has been etched in my planner for weeks now. I can't wait!

I posted this in the 4th of July thread, but it's so awesome I'll post it again:

Charlie Goes America all Over Everybody's Ass
post #3 of 309
Looking forward to it! Not much else to say at this point, but I'll just mention that Season 3 comes out on DVD September 9th.

Best fucking comedy on TV, hands down.

Any of you guys see the review on the futon critic for the IASIP boys sci-fi comedy pilot, Boldly Going Nowhere? (Written by them, not starring). Sounds like it could be a hoot.
I wish the DVD came out a little earlier for S3 so there is more time to give it a run before the new season. But yeah, cannot wait.

I love this show...but 30 Rock is better.

And that music video on the site...freakin awesome.
I didn't catch the video before. For those to lazy to search the site:

Going Back to Philly (directed by Fred Savage)

Dennis and his robe, Dee getting dissed by the boys, Mac unable to hold his liquor, Charlie and the green body suit... glorious!

For those who are going to Comic Con, there will be a Sunny panel on 7/27 from 10:30 to 11:30 am.

We're going to be seeing a lot more of 'Sunny', found this over at TV Squad:

Quote:
The network has ordered 39 more episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. This is in addition to 13 currently being produced for the upcoming season.
There's more FX news, including the end date for Nip/Tuck, here.
Sunny is almost back?

YES!!!
So, apparently the Sunny guys have new pilot that's going to be on Fox called Boldly Going Nowhere. It's basically going to be It's Always Sunny but in space.
^^ Really!? Wow...

Although, I feel like they have way more material to work with, right here on earth (...Philly especially...), that could be cool, also.

Until then, I'm just dying for S4 to come...I keep seeing "Sunny" avis and gifs/clips all over the place...the anticipation...the agony...

I saw that video on Collegehumor. Great stuff. I also enjoy Charlie as a Vet being boxed in.

39 more eps of Sunny? Praise Jeebus!
It was funny to find out Devito was hitting on his own daughter in the Second season finale.
One of the funniest things I have ever seen was from S3 when they go for the NFL tryouts and I think it's Charlie see's all the weirdo's coming from that camper van. Just the stuff he was coming out with, I had to pause it because I was laughing too much.

GREEN MAN!!! Also Frank spiking Charlies beer with Acid.
"Hundred Dollar Baby" was certainly one of the funniest episodes of tv I've seeen. Not to mention Dennis and Deandra getting hooked on crack. Hilarious.
The underage drinking episode is by far the best.

"That's Tammy. This is Classic Tammy."
My two favorite eps are "The Gang Gives Back" ("Take a lap!") and "The Gang Runs for Office". God I need this show back now!
"Mac and Dennis: Manhunters" is a really strong and very funny episode. I think it's the premiere. They showed it at Comic Con. It's a Sunny riff on The Most Dangerous Game, and you even get DeVito as Rambo. Great stuff.
Sounds like some of you west coast fans might have a shot at winning this, with all of your Sunny knowledge...if you hit one of these up:

Aug. 28 - Los Angeles - CSU-Fullerton
Location: Central Quad (Near McCarthy Hall)
12pm-4pm

Aug. 29 - San Diego - San Diego State U: ARC After Dark
Location: Aztec Recreation Center
9pm-12am

I'd love to go to either the DC, or better yet...UPenn Philly one!!?!

Don't forget the cannibalism.

Just watched this episode and I was laughing hard and consistently throughout.

Didn't want to spoil that. It was a hysterical tangent.

I don't consider it a spoiler as much as I consider it tantalizing.

This is my absolute favorite show. The 18th can't come soon enough.

And I can't believe no one has mentioned Day Man/Night Man. The two greatest songs of all time.

They are doing a Day Man/Night Man musical episode this year.

Get stoked.

"The McPoyle's are probably going to stab me and 'freedom has it's price?' I can't believe you guys! You know, let me kick down something that our forefathers kicked down to me. It goes 'don't tread on me' and you guys are TREADING ALL OVER ME! Dee, let's roll."
"I don't wanna go with you."
"What?! No, c'mon. You're my actor and I need you."
"You're so bad at protesting."
"C'mon, Dee you're my actor."
"I don't wanna go with you."
"C'mon, you're treading on me, and you're not supposed to. Are you kidding me? Is everyone gonna tread on me? Okay."
(Charlie freaks out)
"I'm gonna rise up, gonna kick a little ass,
Gonna kick some ass in the USA,
Gonna climb a mountain, gonna sew a flag,
Gonna fly on an eagle,
Gonna kick some butt gonna ride big trucks,
Gonna rule this road, gonna kick some ass,
Gonna rise up, gonna kick a little ass,
ROCK, FLAG, AND EAGLE!"

You better not be lying to me. I will hunt you down.

I just saw the second episode of the new season, "The Gang Solves The Gas Crisis" and it's equally as brilliant as the premiere. I don't know about the whole season, but in these first two episodes, Charlie Day and Kaitlin Olson are absolute champs. Also, because I can't wait till you guys see it to share, I'm going to quote one of the funniest moments of the entire series in spoiler-text:

Charlie yelling "Wild Card, bitches!" and then jumping out the back of a moving "rape-van" is one of the most brilliant comedy moments I've seen all year.
Holy Hell!!! This starts next week, doesn't it?

Oh, so very excited.

Yep, Green Man excited.
So what's everyone's favorite Charlie is illiterate moment? It's tough for me but it might be: 4 the mare!
The note he left when he took DB.

Always liked the map he left of the path through the vents to Frank's will, and Mac claims he's the only one who can decipher it because he's the only one that can understand Charlie level retardation. Not to mention the scene in the same ep. where they stumble upon Charlies secret spot in the attic where he goes to smash bottles.

Can't wait for this season.

The lyric sheet to "Night Man".

Mac: Is this a page from a coloring book?
Charlie: No dude, that's "Night Man", those are lyrics.

I can't decide what's my favorite Charlie: Serpico Charlie, USA! Charlie, Greenman Charlie, or Nazi Banana Eater Charlie.

Been watching the season 3 DVD today...holy shit there are so many thing's I've forgotten about. Like the Ali Baba Sword, Mac's Duster, Frank always having a gun, rickity cricket, Frank spiking Charlies beer...holy crap...
Day Man! Fighter of the Night Man! Champion of the Sun! You're a master of karate and friendship for everyone!
I'm still totally in love with the Dumpster Baby episode.
"Just to get a base."

And Charlie's note, "Taked Baby. Meet at later bar, night or day sometime."
Thank you, Diva, for posting that cap of the lyrics. I've been dying for that for ages!

Hey, is anyone up for a watch-along in the chatroom on Thursday night?

lol I love this show. Just the quotes people are posting, that's enough to make me laugh. Those Night Man lyrics were brilliant. Long live Electric Dream Machine.

Looks like two episodes back to back tomorrow, the ones Sean and Matt mentioned. Cannot wait.

"Why is that small guy in that big jacket?"

"I will jam you into the middle of next week."

tonight's the night!!!!!

Only wish i got one new episode a week instead of two.
Yeah, they definitely need to drag it out longer. With two episodes per week, it goes by too fast.

Still, I cannot wait for 10 p.m.
