Real Quote Or An Excerpt From A SNL Sketch?

You be the judge.

Quote:
George W. Bush ended his time at the G8 summit, the last that he will attend as U.S. presidency, with the following statement.

"Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter."

According to the Telegraph reporting,

"He then punched the air while grinning widely, as the rest of those present including Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy looked on in shock."
I'm voting for excerpt from an old Saturday Night Live sketch, but that's because I want to sleep easier tonight.

I'm sure Glen Beck would appreciate the "humor" in that remark.

Holy shit. There is no bottom.

His motorcade rolled right past me this morning, I should've at least mooned him.

Between this and Jesse Jackson looking the fool, can we get to November any time soon?

I'd really like to get the last sixteen years behind us and move into the next century with a little more sense and decorum....

No Bushes, no Clintons, no Jacksons, no Sharptons....what a wonderful world it will be.

*massaging temples*

Six more months. Six more months. Six more months.

This can't be real... can it?

I mean, it is Huffington. I believe it more than not but it's so goddamn outlandish that I'd feel better reading this from CNN or AP.

If true... what a piece of shit.

Why would he say goodbye from China? Has he become so dumb stupid he doesn't know which country he's supposed to run?
He probably just did some coke and wasn't thinking straight

Wow. These last six months are going to be one long "Ha, ha, suckers!" dance, isn't it?

Yeah, I think it's going to be completely different!

This Bush thing, however, is just so fucking stupid. A fist pump? Really?

*shakes head*

The horror, the...horror.

Damn. So this is Bush without Karl Rove's sanitizing. Who knew Bush was so batshit insane? I look forward to 6 months of glorious meltdown culminating in a last address that ends with "Fuck you America".

After which he is still a millionaire, gets away unharmed, along with his millionaire lackeys, friends and advisors, sitting on a new huge load of profitable contracts for their companies.

He wins.

I also liked this bit:

Quote:
Mr Bush also faced criticism at the summit after Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian Prime Minister, was described in the White House press pack given to journalists as one of the "most controversial leaders in the history of a country known for government corruption and vice".

The White House apologised for what it called "sloppy work" and said an official had simply lifted the characterisation from the internet without reading it.

I was sure this had to be a spoof, so I did a search for the story. It's being reported in The Telegraph (the source for the original story), The Independent and The New York Post, to name but three sites. I'm going to go take some migraine medicine now.

It did. Newspapers and magazines around here where pretty much as speechless as all of you are.
He must as well just bomb Iran on his way out, because it would be sooo funny.

This reminds me of the time Joseph Hazelwood ended a radio conversation with "Goodbye from the drunkest captain in the Pacific!!" before cabbage-patching his way into the engine room.
