Ready for another Spike Lee Racism Rant?

I'm calling this right now. In a few days we're going to hear nothing but "The airlines are keeping the black man down".

I like Spike's movies, but blaming every little thing on racism is getting old. I'm also not saying that racial profiling doesn't exist (obviously it does), but Spike is a little too good at crying wolf over every little thing.

Nowhere in my post did I say that he is crying racism yet. I'm just saying get ready for it.

As bad as it is to see black folks crying racism for no reason, white folks crying about black folks for no reason is worse... far worse. There was no reason for this thread. What made you want to launch a preemptive strike against possible racist remarks? Seems like you've got some issues to work on.

You know what, I'm not crying about "black folks" crying racism. I'm talking about ONE person, not the entire race as a whole. This one person has a very long history of this type of behaviour. And I didn't come in here ranting "FUCK SPIKE LEE". Just making conversation. Kind of the point of a message board (in the gossip arena no less).

As I said: I fucking like SPike Lee movies. He is a talented director. Goddammit people are touchy. So before you jump to conclusions and start labeling people "douchebag" maybe you should work out some issues of your own.

I'm bowing out of this now, although I would still like to see a response from Alex, as I'm sure he is intelligent enough to have a conversation without resorting to "I don't agree with you...so you're dumb".

Here's where you're wrong. Sure, Spike Lee has made those rants in the past, but the fact that you tried to cut him off and call him out before he even said anything about it is just beyond strange. Especially in a situation like this that wasn't determined by race.

Hell, even bitching about him when he DOES make a "racism rant" is weird, because who gives a fuck? How does it affect you in any way?

It doesn't affect me at all.

Like I said.....making conversation. I'm not angry about anything. Not ranting.

And the "dumb" comment was directed at Bailey, hence I was saying I was sure you are more intelligent than him.

Essentially, I was making a prediction on how Spike Lee would react to a random screening. Will he react this way? I don't know. That's why its a prediction and not a statment. I could very well be wrong and we'll never hear anything from him on the subject.

I really shouldn't get upset about being called a racist or a douchebag on a message board, since you guys really don't know me. You don't know my background, my life experiences or what makes me tick. But it does bother me, because I take the label "racist" very fucking seriously, and if you knew me at all personally, you would know that this is probably the greatest insult you could throw at me. Which is why I feel the need to defend myself.

So if I pissed anyone off, or offended anyone, be assured that was not my intention.
