That pretty much depends on what you're interested in. Randi and Michael Shermer are going to be on a few panels about skepticism that I'd like to attend (though I dread the Q & A session where I'm sure at least one or two nutjobs will angrily question their points). If you want to just take in some of the freak show, you don't even have to buy admission. Just go to one of the hotels, take a seat at the bar or in the lobby, and people watch. Or check out the parade on Saturday morning. If you want to check the dealer's room (which I think is less relevant every year now that you can find all this stuff on the Internet), you'll need an admission.
The con is about 80% nerd party and 20% panel discussions. And the quality of the panels isn't a sure thing either. Some are really informative or entertaining, others had a good concept but poor execution, and others should never have been considered in the first place.
It boils down to your mileage may vary. Personally, I'm burnt out on the con. As a kid I thought it was fun. As an adult, I just show up, perform, and then usually skedaddle.
