Well, I don't think The Wire's fans will be crying in their Cheerios to the degree that Whedon's Worshippers do in regards to how "the greatest writer in TV history" doesn't have a mountain of Emmys already.

I have to agree with Phil, Mad Men's first season was probably better than the first couple seasons of Buffy. I love Buffy to death, it's one of a few series I own the complete run of (along with West Wing and, in Dec., The Wire), but there's a thin line between adoration and obsession. There's no denying that The Wire is probably a better show, and part of the fun is arguing over it. But Kane is right -- it's been five years since the show went off the air. Time to move the fuck on.
