Is there anything more metal than "Dressed to Kill"? I don't think so.
New from Mondotees in our Heavy Metal Directors line of fine shirts!
We have Brian De Palma / Def Leppard, Yasujiro Ozu / Ozzy, and Martin Scorsese/ Scorpions! All three shirts are printed on American Apparel t-shirts and are ready to ship!

Bask in the glory of confused stares from the majority and knowing smirks from the film-nerd elite.
I want the Ozu one. The Fassbinder is a close second. So great.
The Bergman one is awesome.
I want this one badly.

These are great! I'm looking at Herzog and Scorsese.
If only they weren't 24 dollars. Those shirts are wicked, but I'd rather spend 24 dollars on some dvd's of those director's films.

My psychiatrist's two favorite things are Metallica and Fassbinder films, I shit you not. I can't wait to show her this.
I may seriously have to get the De Palma one.
Who's gonna be "that guy" and wear the Scorsese shirt on Shutter Island's opening night? LAME
post #8 of 54
Must....stop...urge...to..give....credit...card... number......

24 bucks is a little Concert T-Shirt/Hot Topicish for me but damn if I don't want that badass De Palma one.
hilarious and awful at the same time.
Herzog for me! And I also have to get this.
I find myself with an extra $200 dollars in my pocket this month (hooray for not realizing that I accidentally made two student loan payments back in June), and the urge to purchase one of these shirts is suddenly overpowering. Damn you, Eyeball Kid, for posting this. Must...resist...

I can only imagine what the David Lynch one would look like. And speaking of Lynch, you can buy his coffee over at Amazon.

If I had to guess, Lynch's would have to be in Lynyrd Skynyrd's logo.
That would be awesome. Blow some hipster minds with that one.
Bought De Palma. Couldn't help it. Sent the link to a friend. He's buying the De Palma too. Now when we hang out we'll have to co-ordinate.
I just got the Fassbinder and one of those Drafthouse posters. I went to load in the Ozu, but the site kept screwing up.
Holy jeebus! This site is a treasure trove. I am totally going for the Frank Kozik Electra Glide In Blue poster.

The shirts come from my store, Cinefile in LA. We created them and we sell them on consignment to the Alamo. Aerosmith/Almodovar is coming soon.

Glad you guys like them.

Jesus, your store? Shit. Why didn't you say that earlier? Do you have the Stunt Rock shirt? The Death Records?

We just make the metal director shirts. I don't know who makes the others.
And yeah, I should have pimped them here already. I'm lousy at self-promotion.

So if you guys want to get them straight from the source, its www.cinefilevideo.com

Also, feel free to make suggestions or requests.
What I said about David Lynch earlier. Run with that shit. And see what you can do with Orson Wells while you're at it.

Just as an FYI, your store rules. I've only been there twice, but I need to make a bigger habit of it since I'm right down the street.

I'll run it up the flagpole and see who salutes.

I really want to figure one out with the Judas Priest font. Jodorowsky has been suggested.

Why not Sergio Leone?

Thanks. We're pretty proud of it. Come by anytime, I'm the dude with the sideburns.

Can't think up a decent rock font to go with his name. The font has to be something everyone recognizes. It's hard to explain, you just know when it hits you.

Summers I do more of an Elvis, winters full on mutton-chops.
So we're saying a Chester A. Arthur then?

And why not use the Judas Priest font for Leone?
You could use the WASP logo for Welles
I'm trying to think what director would work best in Slayer font.

As for Sergio Leone, the only one I could think of is Pantera, that's mainly because of the whole Cowboys from Hell/western thing.
I don't remember the WASP logo being very distinctive. Slayer definitely.

John Ford? David Lean? Please?

Joel N Ethan? No, nevermind that one.

Slayer = Fincher?

Actually I see Fincher as more Anthrax than Slayer.

We toyed with a Rattner/Ratt just 'cause it made us giggle. Too expensive for a joke. Though I'd wear one just to see the baffled look on peoples faces.
Here's another one; Takashi Miike and GWAR.

MAKE IT HAPPEN

Wilder/Winger?
The Bela Tarr/Black Flag one? Holy shit.
Slayer and Anthrax's fonts are too similar. For the record, Fincher would be great in Slayer font and it would be the first thing I would buy off the internet.
Give us some Italian directors. Fulci, Argento or D'Amato.

Aside from Slayer's logo being written into a giant pentagram. Perfect for Argento, even though that would work better for Anthrax.
Holy crap! I might have to buy that Ingmar Bergman shirt.

Slayer also use their logo without the pentagram, and that shirt would look fucking sweet.
