I don't think this has been covered here before but if it has, forgiveness please.

Looks like Grindhouse Releasing is putting out a deluxe two-disc set of "The Beyond" out just in time for the Halloween season.

Shit. Better put mine up on ebay for a gillion bucks before the rest of the world gets wise.

Nah, I'll just keep both.

About damn time it got re-released!

Awesome. It's been too long since I've seen it.

I got mine on amazon a while back for ten bucks. God, it's great, and I don't even like the vast majority of Fulci's work.

I'm hoping they aren't going to do too much to the video. Zombie ended up way too light by the time we got around to the third release.

I've still got my Anchor Bay tin... doesn't look like there's that many extras in this one to warrant a double dip. Cool for those of you who don't own this classic, though. Probably my fave Fulci.

The box art is pretty bad for this though, it makes the movie look like a Direct-to-DVD by the people who made Day of the Dead 2: Contagium.

I'm keeping my Anchor Bay copy, but if it really is a digitally restored cut, and I can get it for a good price, I'll double dip.

I actually keep multiple copies of all my Fulci and Argento flicks, so even if it's basically identical I'll probably buy it myself. We all have to have our little collections, right?
my junior year i thought this was dumb because i had no taste for horror movies,or even gore yet.Now i really, really like it and find it to be Fulci's best.Compared to everything else i've seen by him, this has the best pacing.

Still one of my favorite commentaries. The stories they tell are pretty great.

One can buy the OOP version for 20 - 30 bucks,
but I am glad to get a re-release.

I wonder if they'll ever get around to springing for a Blu-Ray release? Seeing this flick in HD would be great.

Agree on the commentary track. One of the best ever. MacColl and Warbeck were a joy to listen to. Especially whenever she'd get squeamish during the gore bits and Warbeck would say "Oh here look I'll make bunny rabbits with my hands." Great stuff.

That was a great commentary, and the fact that Warbeck died literally days after recording it makes it poignant.

I paid too much for this DVD, and unless the new transfer is really spectacular I might skip this one. Unless it's cheap. Love the bonus alternate openings too.

Never got a chance to pick this one up, even though I always pondered it when the anchor bay tin was out...stupid stupid. Anyway, really looking forward to getting this and can't wait to hear this commentary track, sounds great.
