Fined $50. Claimed he didn't notice that he'd hit the man described by witnesses as "splayed across Novak's windshield".

I see no need to add any further comment.

It's the $50 that gets me. Hit and run on a pedestrian. Fifty bucks. I'm so used to bad people pretending they're not that I get taken aback by someone like Novak who knows he's evil and does not care.

Fifty bucks?! I get a single speeding ticket for going a measly five miles over the limit, and it's $100, this guy runs someoneover and it costs him a single dinner for five at Chili's? Fuck. That. Shit.
