Eureka Season 3 - Page 2

I really enjoy this show...I think with a few tweaks it would just be great.

Dump all the damn time travel and Allison...it would work.

Good call on your part. I wish it'd been Alison too (so does the guy who plays Stark, I'd imagine).

So is that it for this season?

good episode last night...more Jack saving the retard smart people.
Stark and Allison don't even have romantic chemistry when he's Patrick Swayze'd!

I'm feeling positive, so I'll just say it was a neat story for the standalone aspect.

I've given up on the show. It lost that special something it had the first year and it's devled into the realm of boring TV. I'll still DVR the bitch because the TV season isn't kicking into full swing for a few more weeks (we get shows trickling in starting tomorrow, hellooooooo Real Time!) but I'll watch it when I'm bored and have absolutely nothing else to do and I may fastforward through most of the episode to see Carter moments, which have even lost their charm.

Shit like this makes me sad they didn't reallocate the budget to The 4400.

Thought it was another good episode. But your right when you say it's lost something from the past 2 seasons.

I think the problem is that at this point we should have at least a little bit of an idea just what the hell Thorne is up to. In season 1 and 2, the stand alone plots almost always had some connection to the Artifact/Section 5, and they always indicated that to the audience. This year we've got shit happening just because, and Thorne is running around looking for some mysterious something and we don't even know if what she's looking for is something that should or shouldn't be found.

Anyone else still watching?

I've liked the past couple of episodes. But something still seems off. I think it's fairly easy to guess that Thorne is related to one of the bodies they pulled out of the old facility.

Still watching here.

Mostly for the lighter Carter moments though.

I've said it before, I'll say it again - that guy needs to be Ant-Man.

I'm still watching and enjoying the show. This is still one of my favorite shows and I attribute that mostly to Colin Ferguson.

Well...I guess I was close enough as she was the reason he was fired not the one doing the firing.

But Carter getting fired felt tacked on. My guess is that it takes 2 epiosdes minimum for him to become sheriff again. Jo will not be promoted to replace him. And he will still be allowed to live in the town because of Zoey.

I have a lot of love for this show. Just fun to watch. Even with a downer ending puts me in a good mood I think the writing could be a bit stronger, but still a lot of damn fun. Good end to the season I thought.

Second part of the season premiered tonight. Why they aren't just calling it Season 4 after nearly a year off...I dunno.

Pretty good opener, getting rid of the new sheriff was a bit too easy though.
Im fine with it, its better than draggin it out and pretending that carter is actually leaving or some crap

This was a good episode, a nice light-hearted change to the first half of the third season, which felt kind of dark to me.

Also, Im very glad they hinted at aliens /space as the upcoming over-arching story, as I think they should start looking outward, so to speak, if only because the experiment-gone-wrong stories were starting to feel a bit too similar to each other.

Every time I see a Ketel One Vodka commercial, I see Stark in it, and it makes me a little sad that he's been reduced to doing vodka ads.

It looks like they've dropped the stupid Degree cross-promotion thank fucking christ. Hopefully this season will feel more like Seasons 1 and 2 (bring back the Cabal or whoever it was that Beverly was/is working for. Hell, bring back Beverly).

Really? Good. God, that was a terrible, terrible idea.

It killed last season dead. Granted, the season itself was arguably just passable, but still. Killed the show dead.

Ironically, I just saw Stark in the preview for the next True Blood episode. So I guess he's doing alright. Good for him I say.

I'm glad as well. I was hoping for something a bit different in the new episodes. Although, I think the signal from OUTER SPACE!!!! is gonna turn out to be probably an AI on some old satellite (ala Star Trek: TMP).

OK, episode. Seemed like it wrapped up a little quick. Carter taking the test was pretty good. When the straws bent and wouldn't reach the button...awesome.
The part where he walked on glass towards the button and had a Wile.E. Coyote moment had me dying.

Totally agree, thats one of the most in-your-face, obnoxious integrations of product Ive ever seen, and I really hope they dont make another similarly bad choice going forward, as I kind of agree that if they kept that up, it literally could have been the reason for the show getting canceled.

Don't know if I like where they took the "signal" unless it builds to something bigger.

It's gonna be weird when Henry starts fucking the robot/computer.
I really enjoy this show. Maybe too much. But its good fun. And nothing weird with sex with the clone/robot/computer. REALLY. Nothing at all.
I was just thinking about that. As a show it's really good, clean fun. The end of the episode and he's on a date. He holds her hand. No one does that anymore.
The ruthless means that Henry employed to get Kim back the first time was the best storyline this show has ever done. Even though I doubt they have something that dark n cool in them any more, just the echo is enough to make this storyline work for me.
Was I the only one surprised by how much Tamlyn Tomita seems to have aged in the past two years?
This show is an emotionally abusive spouse, and I'm the enabling victim.

Every week I tell myself that this time it'll be better - that this time it'll all work out. And every week, without fail, Eureka shows up acting all charming and quippy for a little while before turning disappointing, hurtful and glib.

Colin Ferguson deserves a better show. But at least they got rid of his sister. Good lord how I despised her 'wacky free-thinking' ways. She was like every flakey Kate Hudson rom-com character rolled into one.
Great episode. I really enjoyed how Henry reacted about trying to save Kim. Nice nod to that whole storyline and how he never wiped his mind, only Carter's.

Dig the new love interest for Carter, hopefully they don't screw this up. Eureka needed new blood.

For some reason, after watching each episode I find myself compelled to buy a Subaru Impreza WRX, wierd.
Now we're left wondering where the hell the rest of the season is gonna go. I wasn't expecting the "signal" plot to be resolved so quickly (although maybe it hasn't) and I'm curious as to what the rest of the underlining story is gonna be (please not anymore section 5 crap).
I'm OK with the lack of an overall plot this season. The single episodes are like bite sized nugets of fun and are drawing me back in. Instead of watching it Monday\Tuesday I was compelled to revisit my favorite little town on Saturday and if this last episode is how they're going to be doing it from now on... it may turn into a late Friday Night \ Early Saturday morning show.

Diggin the hell out of Tess. I had concern they were going to kill her off or she was going to be coma girl for the rest of the season, I actually was yelling at my TV "Don't kill the hot nerd girl!". The whole Alison\Carter moving on scene was contrived and boring but... whatever, I guess they had to spell it out for viewers and the final scene more then made it up.

Now if they'd just get Billy Campbell as a regular this show might be really cool again! They also need to have Alison die in childbirth or something because the writers apparently have no idea what to do with her now that she isn't a love interest. They can't turn her into the anti-carter Stark nor the insightful ally Henry and she sucks as a boss.

Watched some of the marathon yesterday. And came to realize...this show is missing Stark or a carachter like him in the worst way.

Also what ever happened to Alisons son? You'd think he would still be around especially while she's pregnant.
Yeah, the absence of Alison's son kind of bugs me a lot. I think he was in the wedding episode last season and that was it. I can understand the writers running out of ways to use him, but he shouldn't just vanish (speaking of vanished characters: what happened to Henry's assistant at the garage, or the cute dry cleaner that Carter was involved with in Season 2?)
