Shaving

Because it's probably the only thing not discussed yet here.

Razor: Mach 3 Turbo.
Lubricant: Soap
Areas Shaved: Face, neck, and head.

I have a feeling I'm going to regret starting this thread......

Mach 3 turbo for face.
Disposable Gilletle sensor excles for my head (because shaving your head once a week ruins the blade)
Champneys shaving cream for the face
Gillettle foam for the head.
Only have to shave 3 times a week. Cannot grow a moustache. If I try, I end up looking like a 12 year old Samoan girl.
Razor: Mach 3 Turbo, love this thing, it's the only razor that can get all the areas on my face. Although the extra cartridges are damn expensive, but they're sure worth it.

I went through several different shaving creams before settling on Nivea for men shaving gel.

I only shave my face, so yeah I'm rocking the Burt Reynolds look everywhere but on my back.

After a good while being pretty hairless, I grew a Lemmy on my chin, then eventually gave up and grew a beard and let a bit grow on top too.

So right now I'm using a Mach 3 on my neck and trimming the beard with clippers.

Shittiest clippers I ever got was from some dodgy departmant store in Paris. Managed to clip all the hair on my skull once before they jammed and I threw them out.

Gillette Fusion Power is where it's at, kids. Back when I was working a proper day job, I had to shave every fucking day; now, I go every other (or risk a painful go of it, and let two days pass).

I also shave pre-shower. I'm gonna bleed either way, so it's best to get under the water afterwards rather than let Ursa Major form in scabs on my neck.

I take care of the neck and back once a month.

Shaving's for Clydes.
Single-blade disposable razor,
Soap and hot water.
Never see the need to put a lot of thought into the whole thing, really.
I second the Fusion love. Thought it was gimmicky as fook when I first saw it, but the vibro-action really does make for a smooth shave. I use a hand-held fan for my undercarriage.
I use the million bladed Fusion. I used to have a vibrating Mach-3, but I switched to the fusion and have been pretty happy with it. For cream, I use whatever gel is on sale. I used to shave before I showered, then after, and now I actually shave in the shower. Pre-shower shavers take note, the pain is greatly reduced when you let hot water open up your pores and soften your beard. Oh, and I do have a little mole on my upper lip that I always have a 50/50 shot of knicking and bleeding, so I tend to shave my lip with an electric.
Razor: Straight
Lubricant: Tears of children
Areas shaved: Just the vag.
Yep, Fusion with sensitive Gillette cream. I wanted to grow a goatee recently, but the hair grows weird on my chin and it looks like I shaved two lines into it like guidos do with their eyebrows. It sucks.
I only shave my back when it's urgent and I can't get a wax appointment.
Razor: Simple double bladed
Lubricant: Olive Oil. Not kidding. I've made the switch in the last month or so, and I've gotten infinitely more comfortable shaves out of it ever since. And because of my dastardly curly hair's tendency to make the skin under my neck resemble Seth Brundle, it's the perfect solution.
Areas: Face and neck.
I'll echo the Fusion love too. I usually just use the Fusion gel. I only need it for my face.
Unfortunately I look ridiculous with any kind of facial hair other than a two-day stubble so I have to shave. I used to make a big production of it with a straight razor, shaving brush, cream etc but it took too long so now it just a Mach 3 and Gillette shaving gel pre-shower.
I use a Norelco spectra. I wash the area I am going to shave with Neutrogena razor defense face scrub (to remove oil and dead skin). This prevents me from getting razor burn on my neck. I also shave before showering, when I am done my face and neck feel completely normal then.
I've been using a Braun electric - damn good shave, very close, and no pre-shave stuff necessary. I also just got a new Norelco for buzzing my head (older Norelco wasn't holding the charge as long - battery was going).
Razor: Fusion
No Soap or Cream- Shave en shower after the hot water has had a chance to soften up the skin. Shaving cream is the biggest scam since Nigerian junk mail.

Grain: Goes with.

Like a lot of American boys his age, Moltisanti was taught to shave by that tender scene in Lethal Weapon 3.

Every morning Danny Glover guides my hand for an erotic shave.
I think Murtagh actually teaches his son to shave AGAINST THE GRAIN, which causes ingrown hairs and irritation!
He wanted young Nick to suffer.
About a year ago, I attempted to transition to an electric razor. I purchased a real, fancy-dancy Norelco (built-in shave gel and everything). It lasted about 2 months before I realized that it was actually attempting to gnaw its way through my larynx. Now, I'm back to the vibra-Fusion action. And, yeah, shaving in the shower is definitely the way to go. No fuss, no muss.

As if killing his friend wasn't enough. He was obviously still angry about having his beatbox skills mocked in front of Riggs all those years ago.
I use a Mach 3 en shower in the mornings. And I go against the grain. And add a little hair conditioner to the whiskers before I shave.

I used to use the shaving brush and soap/mug, but I like shower shaves better. Still have a nice brush and mug, though. Just in case.
I pity you poor people who have to shave daily. I'd probably shoot myself, and leave a razor-burned-to-fuck corpse.

Razor: Gillette Sensor(old-school baby!)
Lubricant: Any foamy shaving cream. Gel hates me.
Areas Shaved: Face and head, dodging randomly or strategically placed facial hair.
The two shaver approach for me. An electric razor (forget what) used mostly for trimming long hairs if I don't shave every day (something I hate to do), I do this pre-shower. And then a standard shave with a Mach 3 Turbo. Going both with AND against the grain. Usually use some Gillette shaving gel.
Areas: Face and neck. And god dammit, I hate shaving my neck. I look like a vampire attacked me every single time.
I'm a shower-shaver as well. That way I can watch the blood circle the drain like a Hitchcock film.

This thread is a marketer's dream. Are we all sure that dynamotv isn't a Gillette employee?

Mach 3
Fusion Sensitive Skin Gel
I shave whatever area I feel like at the time. My facial hair grows stupid fast, so I change my facial hair a lot, but I have only shaved completely once since I was 15.

Anyone else suffer the horrible affliction of having a red beard? Absolutely miserable to shave. I only shave once every 3-4 days or so, which makes me look like a real bum at work come middle of the week, but to hell with shaving every day. Oh, and post shower. If I shave without getting in the shower and softening the skin I look like a leper for 8 hours.

Pubes. We didn't discuss enough pubes.

Gillette "Sports" or something like that, 3 blades. Lubricant: Gillette or hot water after the shower. Face.

Mach 3? Whoa, welcome to 1998, grandpa!
Panasonic Vortex Nano
Lectric Pre-Shave

I haven't tried shower shaving yet with this razor. I like the pre-shave oil too much right now.

Been getting some pretty good results with this if I shave daily, otherwise I'll look like Nick.

Yeah, I got the half-Irish and Scottish thing going on, miserable experience after about 4 days.

No sir!

Saintly Danny Glover would never give such ill advice.
Razor: Whatever's on sale.
Soap: You use soap?
Area: The patch of cheek running from below my eye to the top of my ill-defined beardline.

I don't shave. I'm lazy, all my girlfriends and wives like(d) my beard, and I've never had a job where I needed to be clean-shaven.

The last time I shaved was about five years ago, when I accidentally cut a very noticeable notch in my mustache during a hasty cheek scrape and had to grudgingly shave it all so I didn't look stupid.

How many folks shave weird shapes (Hitlers, weird goatees, etc.) before taking it all off?

Winner.

And as for myself I thankfully don't have to shave every day. Usually about three times a week, but no matter what happens, my neck gets fucked up.

Schick Quattro with Gillette Sensitive Skin gel (fuck foam). Sometimes I use hair conditioner as shaving cream. Makes the skin feel nice.

I assume there is a mirror in the shower because I can't for the life of me try to shave without looking at my face. Otherwise that's asking for injury.

Oh and Edge sucks.
Electric on the face every couple of days (I prefer a bit of the "hooligan ruggedness"). Electric on the head once a week (or 2 if I'm lazy). Blade before I get laid.

Yeah, I have one of those cheapie shower mirror that I got at BB&B. Otherwise, my face would like a horror show.

I figure there would be, although with my piss poor vision I still don't think I'll take the risk.

Same here. And I recently went to taking the clippers to my scalp but I haven't attempted to take a razor to it yet.

Wow, this thread really blew up. BTW, not a shill. The Mach 3 is just that damn good. And I hope whoever invented the Mach 3 now owns Gillette. It is bar none, the best razor out there. I have sensitive skin AND my whiskers face downward which means going with the grain means I look like I still haven't shaved so I have to go against the grain. The Mach 3 is the only razor that doesn't make my face look like pizza afterwards.

I'm also a shower shaver and it helps tremendously with with comfort and closeness. Gotta try the olive oil route. Never heard of that before. I also, once upon a time, used Skin Bracer for after shave until a woman said I smell like Big Foot's dick. That was it for after shave for me.
