All I can say is Axe hygiene products are a rip off. Women DO NOT want to tear your clothes off wearing that stuff. Guess I should have read the back more closely.....

There's another use for those beads.

Razor: Mach 3 Turbo.
Lubricant: Soap
Areas Shaved: Face, neck, and head.

I have a feeling I'm going to regret starting this thread......
Same, except for the head part...took me ages to find the right razor for me.

I think Mach 3/Venus is the near unanimous choice here. Any other brands of razors people use? Didn't Schick come out with a 5 blade monster?

Yeah some bullshit like that. Like I said, I just think beyond 3 blades is just unnecessary.

The neck area is always the most difficult for me. No matter how much I try, I end up with still a bit of stubble on my neck.

Actually, it was Gillette that did the five blade Fusion. Which inspired this

What other Onion articles have come true? That should be a thread (if there are any other examples)

I have gone with the standard Mach 3/whatever gel/every few days (with some instances of being super lazy for a while and letting it get bad), but I just got a nice looking Braun SmartControl electric thingy and we'll see how that works out.

Read the WSJ Best of the Web Today column. James Taranto has a section called Life Imitates the Onion whenever one crops up.

Resurrecting this thread to see if anyone has gone old school and begun using a safety razor or even older and gone to straight razor shaving.  It seems they are becoming the new "thing".

I have been very disappointed in my electric razor since I got the newest model a year or so ago.  It uses a single motor to drive the three heads instead of individual motors like the previous model.

So I have been researching straight razors and the art of old school shaving.  Quite the expensive investment first time out so I was hoping to locate a disposable straight razor and give that a go.  Luckily a visit to the family over the holiday managed to nab me not only a disposable blade straight razor from my grandfather but also an old safety razor and a badger hair brush.  Picked up some shaving soap and a styptic pencil just in case and going to give the No Shave November look I have going on right now the heave ho.

So, anyone change their ways from previous entries or any new Chewers want to sound off if you enjoy the whole theatrics of a shave from days gone by?

I've been a straight razor shaver for two years (coming from electric) and I'll never go back.  Smoothest shave I've ever had (except for this spot right under my right jawline where the hair sort of grows up and back and is impossible to do an against the grain pass on), and I get much fewer break outs than I did before.
