I'm assuming the new DOTD, either way, sounds like a lot of fun.

I get Fearnet through Time Warner, and I got the film for free. Mine actually has different Fearnet listings in two different sections of on demand (one area has only the behind the scenes clips you mention, the other has the movie). Try "movies" then "free movies" then "Fearnet" and see if it's there.

I actually work at FEARnet, and we haven't been satisfied with how we're placed in Time Warner's menus and stuff. I have Comcast at home so I haven't seen it first hand but I've heard it's confusing. I think there were also some technical issues that delayed the launch of MMT.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot.

Quit interrupting the damn movies.

I kid, I kid.

Thunderheart is not horror.

Finally caught it OnDemand. It was just okay. Jones really took me out of it.

But beyond that, I don't find much to recommend in this film. I haven't read the story in years, but from what I do recall it's a fairly faithful adaptation, so there's that. But the DP should be bludgeoned with a maglite. There's a fine line between a film being shot in a DARK manner, and one that is so dark it's annoying. This film crossed that line. I continually found myself wondering what the hell I was looking at, because it's so Goddam dark you can't make heads or tails of what's going on. Maybe there's artistic merit to that (but that's what the CHARACTERS are seeing), but to me this is no more forgiveable, when it's done for so much of the film, than an overuse of the POV shaky cam we saw so much of after "28 Days Later". Remember how annoying that was? Same deal, IMO.
I actually thought the movie looked kind of slick and well-done for being really low-budget as I recall. I don't remember it being so dark. Intriguing, maybe I'll have to watch it again.

Another fantastic gore moment: when Vinnie Jones fucking soccer kicks a leg off of a corpse and clocks the protagonist right in the face at the end.

The print I saw at the theater was pristine, not dark at all. I agree that it was fairly slick looking.

Haven't watched it on the tube yet, so I can't compare.

I agree on both points. in fact nobody was crazy about showing Thunderheart, I believe Lionsgate sort of stuck us with it. But, for what it's worth, I do try to use the meager amount of power/influence I have to get better stuff on the air.

Now they have One False Move on there. Thriller, horror, I'm just kidding anyway.

I just watched Waxwork on there, that's pretty cool, haven't seen it in twenty years. Does anybody know if there's an uncut version out there anywhere?

I don't know if there actually is. I've been hearing this rumor for twenty years and I've never found it. I have a real soft spot for both Waxworks, but I've never found it in a cut more gory than the one that everyone has seen. The stories still persist of a bloodier cut out there somewhere, but I've never come across it.

Still no Midnight Meat Train, just the same behind the scenes shit. It does have Highlander: The Source though.
