That comedian picture is great. A good Wallpaper if it was released in HD.

If I were to fanboy nit-pick anything, it would be these two items:

1. Rorshach's mask doesn't look plastic enough.

2. Dreiberg doesn't look fat enough.

Basically what I'm saying is two total non-issues are the only problems I have with what we've seen so far. I need to start prepping for a let-down or something.

I love that Rorschach's mask doesn't look plastic. The seeping bandages effect as the patterns shift is perfect, I think.

Oh, it's certainly more creepy and interesting. But it's not exactly like the comic! Which is, of course, completely impractical. I could never understand how he was supposed to breathe under that thing.

Regarding Dan's belly. The suit is kinda armored. I'm willing to let it go if when he's off the suit, he is shown as a pathetic and saggy looking being.

I can't get over how beautiful Manhattan looks. Just gorgeous work there.

Patrick Wilson's interview here makes me think he gets Dan well, patheticness and all... the fact that his armor looks badass is actually very correct. Sad that I doubt there will be a white one (in fact, pretty much I'm sure there won't, what with the trailer snow shot)

Didn't he pull it up to eat beans at one point? Or are you talking about Night Owl?

It's a little late, so I may just be imagining this - but am I crazy in thinking that the pic of Ackerman is really close to showing the goods?

Ugh! Empireonline is hosed for me....anyone else????
It's going slower than hell, but the pics load eventually.
Well the empire covers look pretty cheesy actually, somewhat disappointing.

Mirrors please!
I think the Empire covers are fantastic, and this will be an interesting deconstruction of superhero cinema, with costumed heroes and some superheroics as well...unlike M Night's Unbreakable, or NBC's Heroes which eschew costumes, for a duller, more realistic, milleu.

I was reading the Watchmen recentely and everytime Rorshach spoke all I could think of was Fleed.

The Comedian has the best wings in his hair since Paulie Walnuts.

Agreed.

But, man, I don't like the Empire cover the same way I didn't like the EW one. In fact, pretty much the only place the characters have looked good has been in the trailer and the first pics release of them, and probably because those first pics were PS'ed to look as moody as the trailer.

The Comedian is looking awfully Danny Trejo-esque in that shot.

Spike Marshall, I am flattered you would think of me when Rorshach speaks in the epic graphic novel known as...Watchmen!

No you're not wrong. There is some definite peach slice there. I think the pics look great on the mag covers and I dig how the costumes are designed with the right amount of practicality and ludicriousness.

I fapped to it. So no. You are not crazy.

That outfit's definitely riding up on her. I'm hoping for a lot of roundhouse kicks.

I'm finding Ackerman much more appealing as a brunette than as her usual blonde self.

(and no, it's not because of what Tzu fapped to...)
