How is everybodys dvd collection?

Thread Starter
I was wondering how everybodys dvd collection is. I have 117 dvds, about half of them are horror movies. If you want to check them out click on link. <a href="http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=andthenmikesaid" target="_blank">My dvd collection</a>

Does anybody have any dvds that they wish they didn't. One of my friends actually gave me this dvd called "Funny Man", its probably the worse horror movie i have ever seen. I'm so ashamed to have it that i didnt put it on my list.
I have a few, some bought sight unseen, some bought just because I'm plain nuts. The Thomas Crown Affair I bought sight unseen and it sucked, Unbreakable I won in a competition and I don't like, Cries and Whispers because I thought it'd be good cause it was Bergman and oh christ it was not. Other than that, I dig everything in my collection (yes, even JAWS 3-D).
'm up somewhere over 150, and I'm happy with all of mine. see I would probably have more like 200 but the ones that i am ashamed of go striaght to ebay apon initial viewing (Grin)
Stuff like dark Asylum, children Of The Living Dead, and yes, I got suckered by Funnyman. HEY-I had to buy something that weekend right!!
probably about 85% are all horror.
Its only money right?

I have just over 70 DVDs which I don't think is that much but all my friends think is a ton. All of the movies I own I like except for Stepmom which I got for free with the first DVD player I got.
I checked out your dvd collection and I see you liked the kevin smith Jersey trilogy, why didnt you finish the trilogy out with Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back? I have Clerks, Dogma, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back but im lookin for Chasing Amy and Mallrats and The clerks animated series.

oops...I actually have those, i just forget to put them up there. Silly Me.

I had a hard time finding Mallrats and Chasing Amy for some reason. I Finally found them in a 3 pack with Clerks, it was only 40 bucks.
I miscounted, it's 60 some, I need more movies damn it but I'm to poor. Here's my <a href="http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=samurai+x" target="_blank">collection</a>
post #8 of 81
my DVD collection has no complaints.

except for the 100 or so i haven't got to watch yet. they're actually a little unhappy.
My collection now stands at about 180, been buying since Christmas '99.

<a href="http://www.dvdprofiler.com/mycollection.asp?alias=Quatermain" target="_blank">http://www.dvdprofiler.com/mycollection.asp?alias=Quatermain</a>

There's a couple I wish I'd never bought, like From Dusk Till Dawn 2 and stuff that I'll have to double-dip, like Pulp Fiction and True Romance.

Holy crap... I finally was inspired to count 'em, and it looks like I've got over 400. Not all horror, of course. I guess I'll have to index 'em all when I get bored enough. No wonder I never have any money.
All right, I have given in to a combination of peer pressure and wow-this-is-coolitis, and started entering my collection on DVD Aficionado. Enjoy it at <a href="http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?id=penhgwyn" target="_blank">Some of my DVDs!</a> . (This is just the stuff I've got piled up around the TV waiting to be watched).
I think i'm approaching 60 or so, maybe more than that...I guess it's a modest collection. Some pretty good titles.

I regret buying Moulin Rouge and Almost Famous sight unseen, but hey....what are you gonna do?
i have almost 70.

check them out <a href="http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=mr_krueger" target="_blank">HERE</a>

The one i was ashamed of was "Witchcraft" but i sold that yesterday, to get $3 off of "Friday"
I've only got about 45, but I really only want to *own* the ones that really really grab me. I'm okay with renting most movies. It's REALLY tough not going nuts, though... DVDs sure are fun toys.
i have something in the range of 50 or so.theyre all horror with the exception of 2 music dvd's (the Smiths and Godflesh, now THERE's a fucking dynamic duo),Falling Down,Dog Day Afternoon and Unbreakable (thats not horor, right?).i'm pretty pleased with all of em except maybe the Corpse Grinders, which i thougt was sort of boring.
I have a <a href="http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=rathbandu" target="_blank">rather small DVD collection</a> that is growing...
Small but perfectly formed Rath -- I like the faux-erroneous inclusion of She's All That if only because Kevin Pollack is perhaps the funniest screen dad this side of Tom Bosley !

I got 420+ of the little fuckers (DVD's not Tom Bosleys -- that would be weird. But imagine showin your friends your collection....*snaps out of it*) and I'm buggered if I've got through watching half of them properly yet...

A prize for anyone who spots the 5 most embarrassing additions foisted upon my collection by my good lady companion, that, while certainly bumping up the numbers, come crashing close to leprosy in the "Social Acceptablity Index"

Our collection sits at 240 DVD's with the wife specializing in musicals and me with my old fright flicks. I suppose our assortment is a direct result of having a DVD only retailer a short distance from the house, that and having an obscene collector's obsession which will someday bring about my downfall.
I have 279 DVDS and there are a few I won't claim as my own. I guess they are the bastard children of my collection. Garden of the dead is the one im most ashamed of.

While I obviously have a soft spot for Drew Barrymore romantic comedies, it's tempered with a love for violence and gore, thus creating the happiest of mediums

Well, not the most perfect balance because I would rather scoop my eyes out with spoons than see Drew Barrymore in anything other than a Bukaki video, but her love of Asian horror makes up for it.

That and she's kinda cute.

Bet you didn't mind seeing her in Doppelganger and Poison Ivy though, eh ? Huh? Huh?

Flame away, you heathens. Like Strax, I claim at least a portion of my most embarassing DVDs as my wifes - regardless of whether it's true or not.

Most of my horror stuff is still on VHS - of which I have several thousand tapes lining the wall of my den.

I'm noticing that many if not most of you don't have the classic Universal monsters. What's up?
The only one I have re-purchased thus far is 'The Bride of Frankenstein'. I figured it was the most important.
