Storm's comin' Auntie Em!

It's about 8:45 a.m. Got to bed at 4:15. I woke up because it sounded like it was pouring outside and it was, although it was actually hail. Looks to be about golf ball sized maybe a little larger and it's actually covering most of the lawn like snow already and it's not hailing at all at the TV station about five blocks away.

We had a storm pass by us two nights ago on the horizon where I counted at least seven lightning flashes in about two seconds on a friend's stop watch, which seemed a little frequent to me.

Anybody else dealing with some fun weather?

there was one hell of a lightning storm last night here. luckily, it mostly just struck the clocktower in the town square.

We had some terrible flooding here a while back. Ruined some stuff in my basement. I'm lucky my house is like 5 feet off the ground. Some people had serious damage to their homes.

In the span of one month, Omaha had two tornadoes that merged to become one and a thunderstorm that produced hurricane-force winds, knocking out power to around 120,000 houses. Just outside of the city, we also had a Boy Scout camp hit by a tornado that killed 4.

So yeah, this year's been more interesting than usual for weather.

AC is pumping. Shades are drawn. My lightly pigmented skin is loving it.
