It might have been already done, but what the hell, let's share the pearls and nuggets of movie wisdom or lore we have learnt through the magic of special features and commentaries from dvd's.
I'll start with the following life advice:
The only way to keep Gary Busey under control in a set is feedng him milk and Oreos; Thank you, Maria Conchita Alonzo and "Predator 2: Special Edition" DVD!.

Linda Fiorentino was hell to work with while shooting Dogma.

Brendan Fraser was almost hanged for real while shooting The Mummy.

Ron Perlman nearly drowned while fiming Alien Resurrection.*

*On second thought, this might not have come from an actual commentary. Maybe a special feature.

In Shatner's mind if only he had the budget Star Trek V would have been the space Citizen Kane (No he didn't say that but you could tell thats what he was thinking)

- The Mummy: During the scene where the scarabs killed him, the actor playing the Egyptian prison warden's pants kept opening

- Ocean's Eleven: Clooney's apparently a lousy poker player

- Fellowship of the Ring: Dom Monaghan and Billy Boyd punked Elijah Wood about a nonexistant game ("tig")

Return of the King: Christopher Lee knows for reals what sound a man makes when he gets knifed through the lung.

To get a bunch of sketchy content past the Hong Kong Film Censorship board, submit your movie first thing in the morning before people have had their coffee. - Pang Ho-cheung, AV commentary track

Big Trouble In Little China: Kurt Russell would rather talk about his son's hockey team than about the movie.

Assorted Kevin Smith commentaries: Ben Affleck really loves doing his Denzel Washington impression.

Seven: Brad Pitt is not as smart as he wants you to believe, referring to someone's laughter as infect-u-ous.

Not heard on that commentary: Brad Pitt remarking, "It's so fustrating trying to spell 'Febuary.'"

The general sense that movies aren't the easiest thing in the world to make.

Films are shot out of order.

Sometimes weather is uncooperative.

Test audiences never like anything.

Studio executives also never like anything.

Oh, and directors love to say, "At the end of the day..."

Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn't know the difference between a horse and a camel.

Richard Greico is in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Michael Caine named his dog Carter.

David Niven almost died in the middle of filming Guns of Navarone and the film almost had to be re-shot with a different actor.

Albert Finney acted in The Duellists for a case of Champagne.

Learned from the NEAR DARK featurette - Jenny Wright is MIA and Adrian Pasdar misses her almost as much as I do.

Sage observation from Mr. Schwarzenegger on the Terminator 3 commentary: guys like big boobs.

Thank you, Mr. Schwarzenegger. You truly are a man of distinction.

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead: Ethan Hawke has asked Marissa Tomei out pre and post-Uma Thurman and failed both times.

Also Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Marissa Tomei were apparently not uncomfortable at all filming the opening sex scene, and when Tomei is topless after having sex with Ethan Hawke's character Ethan informed the crew that if they were going to be on set looking at her like that then they could take off their clothes too. Many left apparently.

Dan Aykroyd met Issac Asimov in New York while filming Ghostbusters (more specifically, while they were shooting in the middle of Manhattan, causing large chunks of the city to shut down). He struck up a conversation and Asimov was receptive, until he found out that Aykroyd's film was responsible for all the traffic. He left Aykroyd hanging, and Dan, a lifelong sci-fi nerd, was crushed.

That must be Ghostbusters 2, or I'd have remembered it.

Nearly every actor who talks about sex scenes says they're usually uncomfortable, at best, to film. Kissing scenes they cop to enjoying, sometimes, but disliking simulating sex in front of a crew is a fairly universal reaction.

Ben Affleck is surprisingly funny on the commentary for Armageddon where he totally takes the piss out of the film

Elizbeth Hurley is the wrong person to host a documentary about the history of James Bond.

Q cannot operate any gadget without breaking it.

Thanks to Goldeney for both of these.

That's exactly what I came in here to post.

"You see, the T-X is great. Because some guys like little boobs and some guys like big boobs. And she can do both." LOL.
