Film Posters

Anyone have recommendations on buying one sheets online? I typically find Allposters.com to be pretty damn good, but I'm striking out right now. I'm mainly looking for a one sheet for Eraserhead for a lady friend's birthday gift, but Allposters only has the 11x17, and I want to find a 24x36. Plus Allposters have crap ship times. Any help is appreciated.

I'd be interested to. I've considered a poster from time to time to hang up on my bare walls. Nothing too expensive though.

eBay is the source of some wonderful private poster dealers. Normally really good prices as well.

Amazon used to carry a number of different retailers' posters, which is how I got my Fear and Loathing and Two-Lane Blacktop ones. But it's practically dominated by AllPosters now.

Greg's right: go eBay. You can skip the bidding and buy from the retailers there if you don't like that sorta thing.

Personally, I like going to antique stores to find stuff like this. Problem is, you have to look around a lotta different towns to find the good stuff and you can't always expect to find exactly what you're looking for.

I'm kind of leery of Ebay myself. But if that's all there is. Perhaps.

A friend just told me to check Movie Poster.com. Looks damn good. This girl is getting this poster for her birthday, she better like it.

EDIT: Also, I really dislike eBay. Had enough bad experiences to keep me away.

Originally, I thought this was a bait thread about how we don't post about cinema enough.

I've purchased a ton of movie posters from eBay, mostly sheets from the UK and have had no issues. You can find some really cool alternate posters on there as well.

Looks like a good site, but they don't have the Dark Knight Harvey Dent poster I want.

I was going to snag either the Why So Serious? or the Batman "deck of cards" poster, but the prices there are ridiculous. $300 for the Why So Serious, my comic shop has for $50. And $65 for the deck of cards one. Methinks to let the hype subside a bit.

Note: Movie Posters.com is a store in Toronto, so shipping is a bit more expensive. Got 7 day shipping for $15. Regular shipping is $10 and 2-4 weeks. Ouch.

I've used Rick's Movie Graphics in the past, but it's been awhile.

Posteritati has this 400 BLOWS poster I want, but it's like $500. You can find some good vintage ones there but it's probably the most expensive out of all the sites listed above.

For these Dark Knight posters you guys want, go to your theaters and ask if they have any they're willing to part with. Sometimes they talk about having to send them back but I doubt that's a strict policy since a lot of theaters give 'em away.

The "Why So Serious?" poster has been waaay overpriced since Ledger died. They're trying to sell it as a rarity now, despite the fact that Warner has made copious amounts of them.

Yeah, when I saw it for $50 at the comic shop I figured it was pretty high, and I would search online. After looking around today, it seems like the comic shop has about the best price out there.

WALMART and other places sell smaller versions of it.

What do you got? I might buy, but I'm picky about movie posters.

This is a pretty excellent site, especially for older posters. I don't think anyone's mentioned it yet.

Yeah, what Andrew said.

So I've got the Eraserhead one sheet sitting in my bedroom right now. The girl I bought it for as a gift dropped on me today she isn't interested in me at all, but spent the last 2 months stringing me along. So she ain't getting this birthday gift. Anyone wanna buy it off me at a discount shoot me a PM.
