I don't have anything to add to the list as I've only used Shazam to show off to people using songs I already knew - but I will say that that is by far one of the coolest fucking Apps ever.
Since this thread started off with the worst possible song, things can only go up.

This app can distinguish one Nickelback song from another? I wasn't even sure Nickelback could do that.

I just checked this app out. How the hell does this work? What black magic is behind it? I've seen the ads for similar services from Verizon, but I figured it was only for crap they had deals with and everything else would say unavailable or some shit.

Yeah I have no idea how it works. A buddy of mine said it probably had something to do with the little digital bits of code info that are broadcast with the audio, which makes sense - but either way it's fucking FANCY.

I assume it looks at the file's audio signature. No two .wav/.mp3 files look alike if you zoom in enough.

Careful, I'm pretty sure even momentary exposure to that song causes ear cancer.

Please don't tell me this is a cover of the Def Leppard song.

No, it isn't, unless there's a unreleased version of Joe Elliott talking about growing up in Canada. I feel bad for Nick's ears.

Has anyone downloaded midomi? I think I prefer it to Shazam. It's got some extra features (like song streaming and different ways to find the song, including singing it into your phone, which is hilarious). Plus, unlike Shazam, it's going to stay free.

"Nick Nunziata, U.S.M.C." would be an awesome sitcom.

Nick, I think the problem is with the iPhone itself. The only thing I can suggest is to let me permanently borrow it for you.

Tomorrow, Silverchair.

I have seriously hated this song since it first came out but never had the tools to properly hate it. Now the circle is complete.

A Little Less Sixteen Candles, a Little More "Touch Me", Fall Out Boy.

As an aside this band may be the true worst.

Your hate was faceless for almost a decade and a half?

Nick at a Fall Out Boy concert? I suspect it'll take 75 federal marshalls to take him down before its over.

All the Small Things, Blink 182.

Words cannot speak of the badness of this and all music like it.

Well thankfully they broke up.
