A nostalgia round would be sweet. It's like an unarguable free pick. For example, (and I hope I'm not listing anyone's first rounder) it would allow me to pick The Garbage Pail Kids movie, starring Anthony Newley as a poor, sad actor grasping at a final paycheck whilst abandoning all sense of dignity.

I think we're going to see widely varying ideas of what qualifies as nostalgia in this draft.

Here's the thing about nostalgia picks, and I ain't even going to lie. A number of us will give you a golden shower for it. So don't whine if you get shit on for choosing crap you grew up with.
We'd expect nothing less, Dre.
Yeah, since when did we start tip-toeing around picks that other people might not like with "nostalgia" or "guilty pleasure" bonus rounds? Pick what you want, be prepared to defend it and be just as prepared to take shit for it.

Y'all a bunch of kinky bastards. And bottoms. I like that.
All I can say is bring it on Bitches.

Pssh, that's it? I was expecting some circle jerk action.

I'm really excited about this!

A quick Q: Do we shoot for drafting along a theme; what we'd like to see in a personal film festival? Or just best available? (Assume in some combination, all of the above)
Either way is fine -- people have done both in past drafts.

No problem. I got my cherry popped on that last draft, so bring it.

Usually for me it's best available by necessity. I have a vague theme this time that's liable to get shitcanned if more than 10 people draft in front of me. If you can manage a theme in this competition like a few folks did for the 70's draft, then you're an extra smidgen of awesome.

I'm gonna serve you all just like Reagan served Gorbachev, not to mention the way he served those afflicted with AIDS.

Like Dickson said, do it how you want to do it. The only real requirement is being prepared to defend and discuss. It's not a "best of" list you're making, necessarily.

That's two different things. A better way would've been you would've served ala the way Reagan did with the crazies in the mental institutions.

Cool. Thanks, guys!

Already having to reshuffle my wish-list and thought process. No way my "perfect no. 1" will still be available at my spot.
You don't have a spot yet.
He's on there, but just as 'Elvis'.
So this is on? Great!

Time to sharpen the knifes and gnarl the teeth. Especially with the eighties this is gonna be the draft with the most WTF moments of them all. The discussion thread will be something between brilliance, lunacy and the danger of serious meltdowns.
Kirby didn't think Tati would want to play if someone named "Fat Elvis" were involved. "Elvis" he can get behind.
I think FE means the exact spot in terms of Group 1 or Group 2 and where he'll pick in either of those which I'm sure will be determined soon.

That's not an order. Just who signed up.
Exactly. He doesn't have a fixed spot to draft yet.

Hope I'm not too late!
