Call of Duty: World at War - Page 4

Yes, it is indeed a patch download. Thank god too. I like the current Makin map...but like Rick said...its a sniper bitch wet dream come true. They love to hang out in the water and wait for some poor sucker to go running by. I havent had a chance to get on and play the daylight version, but I'm sure it'll be perhaps more fun.

Now, I really think we need to try to get a group together to play over the weekend. I wish PS3 and 360 players could play together...but for now that isnt happening. I've got it for PS3 if anyone wants to get up and play any time this weekend. Just message me on PSN.

Double XP weekend- starts tomorrow morning.
Call of Duty: WaW - where good XP goes to die. Return to Call of Duty 4 where the Rampage began.
Oh yes...double XP is beautiful. I definitely need it. Haha. It seems my skills have become shit. I guess thats what I get for not playing for like 2 months. My last couple games have been quite pathetic.
If anyone wants to play some COD 5 on PS3....I'm on there and will be until 6:30.

Got a map code for review, and I have to say I'm really loving that new zombie map. It's pretty damn big and there are a lot of new tricks you can try out. Love the electrical fence. The other maps are decent- the subway is probably the standout. Anyone playing this weekend?
That's sounds nice. Let us know the full review if you get the chance. I was eyeballing that new zombie level. Is it available to use for offline coop play, or is it online only?
So as I played them more and more, Nightfire soon became my fave. Here's my short review- http://chud.com/articles/articles/18...K-1/Page1.html

The zombie level's available online and off, btw. The furthest I've made it is level 7 so far- it's incredibly hard if you're only stuck with one person on a side, or don't manage to meet up with the other guys.

Probably play a bit tonight if anyone's interested.

Has anyone ever actually gotten 4 player Nazi Zombies to work on a PS3?

The only thing I haven't had the chance to try yet is hooking two PS3's up via a router...I just don't understand why the fuckin' mini-game doesn't support 4 player co-op or multi out of the box.
I'm loving the new zombie map. But man they are quick! Made it to level 6 in the big room alone yesterday, have only managed a level 7 in co-op. Huge map, can wait to get the whole thing explored. Does anyone know if you can ever get out into the courtyard???

It only supports 2 players locally. I had no problems 4 players online.
I'm gonna need to follow up with you on that one, dude. I need to play 4-player Nazi Zombies.
I think I need to get in on some of this multiplayer zombie slaughter.

I'm sure I could find time for a quick session, but all my zombie needs nowadays are satisfied with Burn Zombie Burn (the most addictive game on the PSN ever). Shame it's not got online modes yet.

I've not got the new zombie map though, I spent the money on BZB.

I'm sure I could manage a game this evening?

Just how late in the evening can you work it? (I'll most likely not be available until around 4 pm CST.)

What's the time there? It's nearly 12pm here. We've just gone back an hour (daylight savings) and it's thrown my global clock out of whack.
It's about 6 AM right now.
6 hours behind. So you wouldn't get on until about 10pm in normal time Sounds about when i'd be on anyway.

Message me when you get on with "Brains!" and we'll try get 2 other chewers to fill the gap.

Old map only lads, sorry!
I've got no problem with the old map -- I haven't even had a chance to take a look at the new one.
Well the new map's part of a pack which costs £7.99 on the UK store.

I nearly bought it just for the new zombie map, but Burn Zombie Burn was just too tempting.
You know, I think the $9.99 I paid at the US store actually works out to a better deal...
Ever so slightly. A year ago it would have been that we were paying roughly $6 more to have the same content as you. Now it's closer to $2 difference.

You guys have got it better when it comes to DLC. You get more of it, at a cheaper price and you almost always get it first.

That map pack is overpriced for the UK market.
You guys did get the KZ2 demo no-strings-attached, though. We had to pre-order or fake an address to get an EU PSN ID.
Well I did say *almost* always!

KZ's from a UK developer - I think we'd earned a little fairness for once. It's not like we'll get offered a discount when it comes to the inevitable charged-for DLC.

I'd have happily wait for any content as long as it was US prices.
Irish is up for this too. Rocking some zombies whenever you get online old boy.
Wow. That was a shocking performance by myself there. Will be further games shortly, just got to have some food.
I'm ready to go again whenever you are, sir...I've got a friend on the west coast who can join up if we need her. She's adequate at zombie killin'...

Also, online co-op has shot getting a headset up to the top of the PS3 priority list.
I've been summoned away by Mrs Bees?! for some non-zombie related duties, as you may understand. Accept my apologies, we shall destroy zombies at the next available time!
No worries, sir. We'll catch you later.
I'm online playing this just about every night. If anyone wants to play, just send me a message on PSN, or just go ahead and invite me! I've yet to play with any of you guys.

Look who's back!
Damn, I missed a double XP weekend. I was on Killzone getting demolished.

No way. I'm calling fake.

Definitely would be awesome if it is legit.
It's not too overly fantastical to be fake. There are genuinely some people on WaW that are dumb enough to lie there long enough for you to do that.

The timing's great, but it just reminds me how little I like WaW. I want them to do an offer on that new map pack just for the damned zombies map though.

I agree, but then again I'm a firm believer that they should just run with the WWII zombies thing and make games dedicated purely to that(every other year), while Infinity Ward does a normal Call of Duty the alternating years.

WaW has some great stuff, and some of their multiplayer additions were straight-up great(dogs, more assist points, dismemberments, etc), but something is lacking, big time, when a late addition is the main draw of your game.

Map Pack 2 comes out tomorrow, priced at $9.99
post #190 of 196
What are the maps?
Here's the trailer for the new zombie level- http://chud.com/articles/articles/19...IES/Page1.html
post #192 of 196
Undead dogs and a giant fucking zombie chopper thing. It looks totally awesome. Any word of a double XP weekend to go along with the launch?
this game is soo addicting, map pack 3 is the best by far !
I grabbed that map pack, but the pricks that are matchmaking always vote those maps down. I'll try and hop over to the lobby that only shows the new maps.
Shi No Numa rockes, the zombie dogs wear me out. Love this pack! Friend me on psn!

Holy NecroBump, Batman!

Sorry, but for the last year or so I've been off the grid with my XBOX and the live.  I thought I'd jump back in with the COD in my preferred milieu, WWII.  Anyway, the whole Live realm appears seriously fucked.  There was a literal epidemic of cheaters.  They were chided as 'modders' and generated flashing, colorful lines of something like "[CYAN]RoboFuckstick44885: GameCheatson Youtube >>>" or some shit.  It clogs up the top of the screen so I can't aim properly.  I spent the better part of an hour filing complaint after complaint but I'm getting the feeling it's not really accomplishing anything.

Has anyone else run into this with WAW or any other games?  I'm ready to just give up but I can't believe Microsoft hasn't been all over this.  There's been the slightest decline in the amount of them within the last day or so...right about the time Sony said the PS3 online went back, well, online.  Is there some kind of connection?
