Just saw this on CNN (!!??), and my friends and I just laughed. OK, something like this probably is the chupacabra, meaning, it's just some ugly ass mutt tearing up animals, but that thing is just a dog. There's tons of pitiful dogs like that running around South and West Texas near the ranches and hunting leases.

The defining characteristic of chupacabra incidents is that the animals are drained of blood, not torn up or slaughtered. Descriptions of the chupacabra are all over the place; the mystery is in the unusual killing method.
