Scars

Thread Starter
I didn't find anything about scars on the forums and I hope I found the right section to post them in:

I got a few of them, but my best are a 5" one from an operation (pyloric stenosis, just like Will Ferrell!) on my stomach. And a half inch one on my right knee that is more impressive for it's stupid origin: apparently, yelling Shazam! at the top of the stairs when you're 4 doesn't turn you into a super-hero. Thanks goes to the Shazam! live action TV show from the mid-70's and the nail that was at the bottom of the stairs.

Post cool pics if you can.

I have three long, thin scars on my right hand all caused by my demonic high school locker. This thing was so sharp I wouldn't notice I had cut myself until someone pointed out to me that I was leaving a little trail of blood.

Thresher shark left a big scar on my leg. My arm was pulled over in an arm-wrestling competition and hasn't worked right since (that one is true). Plus, this girl I knew broke my heart (pulls open shirt to show it off).

I'll drink to your legs.

After having surgerys involving scalpels and lasers, possibly more after they put me under, I fear the bottom of my feet are just a mass of scar tissue.

If you shaved off my right eyebrow you'd find the mark left by a screen door catching me in the face at age 3 or 4.

I have a dimple-esque mark when I smile from when I fell off a hand trolley and hit the wooden base of the playground equipment in elementary school.

My favorite one however, is the knot in my head just above my hairline. While putzing around with the team at Science Olympiad in eighth grade I had a three fourths full pop bottle dropped straight down a flight of stairs onto my head. My face looked like Sissy Spacek's at the end of Carrie, it's rather surreal to watch enough blood to almost completely cover your face gush out of your head.

Why so serious?

I've got a couple, but my favorite is on my upper lip directly under my nose. When I was about three my mom was stepping out on the back porch to have a smoke, and I went running after her. We had a big sliding glass door, and she didn't see me behind her and just slid it closed while walking out. Sliding door caught me in the lip and split it in half.

Always gets me an "awww" from the ladies.

I have two from minor sugeries. It turns out that I'm unable to absorb those absorbably stitches, so the scars are pretty gnarly. One looks like a knife slash on my neck and the other looks like a bullet wound, so they're actually pretty cool. I like to make up stories for the ladies.

I'm afraid I thought this was a different type of thread about scars.

The Hairy Scar of Teri Garr.

I have 3. One from a permanent marker that I kept snapping shut on my shoulder. The cap was stubborn and I ended up gouging out a neat quarter inch crescent shape into my skin.
An inch long one from jumping over an orchestra pit in a dumb attempt to leap onto the stage.
And another inch long scar on my right wrist. That one I got from searing the flesh on an oven rack while taking out a pizza.

i got two nice ones summer of 2006. had to have a surgery for crohns disease complications. the first one is 12-13 inches long. goes a couple inches above my belly button, comes down, curves around the belly button (it was nice of the surgeon to not mess with the funcionality of the belly button) then goes south in a straight line again. The second was when i had complications with the surgery, almost died and had to have a second cut horizontally on the right side of my stomach. that ones about 3 inches or so.

the only other good ones i have are on my thumbs. had trigger thumb when i was born and had a surgery when i was 3.

This thread is useless without pictures.
