Pretty good debut LP from Ra Ra Riot, hailing from my former neck of woods, Syracuse NY. Amazing that a decent band managed to get out of Syracuse, but stranger things have happened.
Straight forward, pleasant chamber pop (think Voxtrot with strings). But I like it and I'm impressed they managed to keep trucking after the loss of their drummer John Pike last year (who drowned after a show in RI).
