I was seriously underwhelmed by their last record, so I'm going to hold off before I pick up this one. I am curious to hear it, though.

I am a huge fan of them. Seen them live (with the Foals!) and think Silent Alarm is killer. A Weekend in the City is pretty damn good too, but this....this one is AARRGGHHH!
Maybe it just needs time to grow. I won't lie and say that Weekend made me jump immediately either.

Yes. And, if I may, it's pretty awesome. In between my last post and now I've now started becoming all enamored with it. It's a big enough departure that it' somewhat jarring (that is if you absolutely loved their past material), but there's a bunch to love.
It's that girl you thought was pretty kick ass back in the day who graduated college, grew her hair out, got a few tats and walks with a strut.

Half the album is pretty awesome.
There's a pretty decent chance I will never listen to the other side again, barring shuffle... but who knows, might grow on me.

Fantastic Fantastic Album. An interesting new direction and full-on return to form after WITC.

For those who bought the digital download. Be sure to get the track "Talons". It was released about 2 weeks ago.
