The Last Guy

With all the hubbub about the Force Unleashed demo, this PSN title is being overlooked. There's a demo out now and it's a lot of fun. You play as the Last Guy, whose role is to collect mindless citizens and get them away from the zombie plague. It's kind of like Pac-Man, except when you collect the dots they follow you. Oh, and it uses satellite maps of real cities. So when you have to evacuate Tokyo, you're evacuating the real Tokyo.

I really like the demo and think it will be a good purchase if it's priced right (like 5-10 bucks).

I was interested in this. Is it more puzzle or strategy or twitch?

In the demo level the zombies move pretty slow so it's more of a puzzle/strategy game where you try to plan the best route to save as many people as possible. They give you a set time limit to rescue X number of survivors. You get stamina, which lets you run or gather people into a tight group, depending on how many people you are leading at the time. The more people in your group, the more stamina you get.

And the zombies/monsters eat the people FAST if you get caught. I had 600+ in my group and took a wrong turn. By the time I ran away and gathered everyone, only a couple seconds, I had lost almost 500 people. Not a good day for the Last Guy.

Sounds like puzzle world war z! Will give it a go.

Too bad the zombies are really giant monsters. I was looking forward to fleeing the undead so I was a little disappointed by this.
