I've started a blog of my very own. Here's a brief introduction.

I am happy to see the return of Cassady. I will be less happy to see rambling diatribes attempting to justify the ongoing existence of the Final Fantasy series.

I'll be watching this space.

Ohhhhh shit. Okay, so that's like four or five blogs I'll be reading on here. You're breaking me down, you bastards!

I'm not going to have to review all your posts for typos, am I?

Yes.

Damn your obsession with spelling words like pedophilia correctly!

Here's some substance: Games of Yesteryear.

Thanx for this.

You brought back memories.

But, wasn't it Princess Toadstool?

It's Princess Peach Toadstool, but in recent years she's dropped the Toadstool (I wish I were kidding).

Just fucking awesome. They definitely don't make them like they used to...

I've been trying to get those Bionic Commando achievements but two of those goddamn Yashichis are evading me.

That was a great read, even for one who isn't a hardcore gamer. I only started in the N64 generation and I can still see what you're talking about with the focus/goal shift.

I think the reason Geo Wars 2 has attached itself like a life-sucking parasite to so many of us is because it triggers the long-dormant high score gene. I know I look at Alex's 144 million Pacifism score and it's like the matador waving the cape in front of the bull.

Sure, I know I'll never hit that score because I fucking suck at that mode but that instinct still kicks in.

Maybe that's why I've recently just been playing my old Genesis and Sega CD games. There's something about that basic shit. Games are so elaborate now. There are very few (I can't even really think of one) that you can just pick up and play for like 25 minutes and leave it at that.

Yeah, I have been playing Shining Force and Shining Force 2 as of late on my Genesis (which still works after how many damn years?) yet my 360 has broken down about 9 times in a year and a half. Quality... not quantity.

That and my uncle is sending me his pristine Atari 2600. Yar's Revenge, here I come!

Those E-Cards are fucking awful. If I didn't know better I'd say you were making them up.

Good blogs so far.

Great blog. I can't believe your partner said that. That's so fucked up, fuck lawyers. I don't blame you for leaving.

And I'm still dying from The Muppet Show Theme Song. So, so very wrong.

Good one, Jon. Not an easy one to write, I'm sure (for lots of different reasons), but it turned out great.

Wow.

Was your "subsequent response" to shatter his nose by bashing his face against a used urinal with blue and white mint cakes?

Because that's probably what I would have done in your situation. So, I'm just curious.

As for the e-card? Jesus. Two of my dearest and closest friends (Ron and Nicky) are Anglicans with a deeply-rooted Christian faith. They have three wonderful children who are like family to me. And they have suffered several miscarriages of their own.

Even they would undoubtedly vomit at the thought of receiving such an insanely tasteless "gesture."

Sometimes, when faced with a friend's tragedy, the best thing you can do is shut the fuck up and offer a shoulder to lean on if merited.

More people should realize that.

Great post man. I'm forwarding it to Ron and Nicky later.

If any of your friends ever has to deal with a miscarriage, here's what you do:

Buy him or her a beer.
Shut the fuck up.

I hope that law firm guy got at least one or two kicks in the nuts. What a piece of shit.

Let us know the people who e-mail you recommeding VGCats or CAD as funny video game comics so we can round them up and put them in the special camp.

Good job on the set-up. I was almost t-boned twice by old ladies who had handicap hangtags yesterday.

The fiancee informs me that she's done with me, so I'm all yours. Be gentle.

But seriously, thanks. Sorry you can't make it Sunday, we could've discussed shitty webcomics and shitty drivers all night.

So the question remains, where is the funny?
