The Moral Decay of Canadian Society Has Begun...

This is actually controversial - but it's the SURPRISE in the responses to a Canadian porn channel that baffles me. It's not like we can't see the porn of you smutty Americans.

These assertions are supported by criminal evidence. A proven direct correlation exists between crimes of rape, child abuse, and the physical abuse of a spouse, and the proliferation of pornographic materials and the presence of live porn and sexually oriented businesses in a community.
Completely untrue!

Blah, I could go on forever about this...
I'm Canadian and I will admit to seeing my fair share of porn and I've never committed any crimes or become a deranged sex maniac.

These conversative family groups are getting out of hand.

See how it feels Canada. See how it feels!

Until (relatively) recently I wasn't even sure people HAD sex here, nevermind made pornography of it...

Canada's going to be just fine buddy, keep your chin up guy.

According to what I've learned watching Webdreams on Showcase, Montreal has a healthy Porn industry already.

What till people realize that since it's only 50% Canadian content, that means lost sex industry jobs across the border again. Where is the sex workers parade? "Tug Canadian"

well it's about fucking time Canada, I've lived here for 6 months and there's not a sniff of it on basic cable - it's as bad as freeview in the UK.

More porn please. Also I'd like to request some Moose on Bear action if at all possible (although this is probably not the venue).
Candian Porn channel ? Does that feature hot Mountie on Mountie action? Talk about high-sticking and innapropriate use Molson. HI-YOOOOO!
12 posts in and no beaver jokes?

For shame.
Hey, I'm doing what I can here. Alright. Sometimes stuff just slips through the cracks.
I wonder if it'll be cheaper to shoot there too. Fuck Canada - first you take our New York-set movies and now our porn. Does America even make anything besides B-52s anymore?

This means, statistically speaking, most Canadians will either be in the adult entertainment industry and/or indie alternative band Broken Social Scene.
No fuckin way man. No one takes away my home industry. No one. And no beer swilling-poutaine swallowing canuck is gonna say otherwise.
I dunno man. We gave the world Bianca Beauchamp.
And your city gave us Jon Lajoie (Who I'll be seeing on the 16th) but that's another story for another time.

All I had as a kid was the Red Shoe Diaries and whatever else was on Showcase...the former was the worst sort of softcore porn, made for couples who try to fool themselves that they're also watching for storylines, crappy as they were. And even the most gorgeous women were obscured by soft-focus...unless they weren't actually gorgeous at all. Goddamn.

I accidently watched some good foreign films in my youth while hoping to glimpse naked ladies on Showcase.

Alas, I was exposed to those when older...but I did get into LEXX, probably the only TV show to satisfy both the carnal cravings of a fifteen year-old AND be a damn good TV show.
That's the rednecks religious retards in the Plains that are bitching. The rest of the country likes porn. Someone should let them watch the Bullshit! episode on porn.

Late night CityTV [Toronto] in the 90s was great for that stuff -- both Italian soft-core and amateur porn.

Could be a big boost to the local production teams here -- a lot of the big name shows have been closing down, e.g., Stargate.

Hey, now, some of us in the flatlands are forward thinking, porn loving people. Not all of us vote Conservative and love us some Jebus.

As for the industry, Calgary has some pretty decent porn producers but it's such small time crews that there's no work to be had.
Calgary shoots porn eh? Calgary Flames eh? I see where this is going.

Well, good hockey players always shoot for the five-hole.

Seriously, I am actually shocked no one has done hockey porn. It would be huge in Canada.
Too much effort. I doubt many could skate for three periods and then fuck.
"...so all four of them can watch the hockey game."

Then go smack Harper, Ryan. Talk to me after that.

Seriously, I know it's not everyone, but the Plains are known as the Bible belt of Canada.

Oh and Savage I'm gonna see one of your native sons on the 16th. Jon "High as Fuck" LaJoie.
I'm like the only local who's not into Jon Lajoie. Maybe I should pay attention.

I think you should.

They're very polite as they try to ram their beliefs down your throat.

And, Martin, I live in the diamond stud in the centre of the rodeo buckle that is the Canadian Bible Belt. The only thing I hate more then most of my fellow Albertans are those damn Torontonians.

By the rest of the entire country. What we have more than the rest of Canada is separatists.

You guys created the Reform party, a right-wing party with a lot of religious intonations. There's religious folks all around, but the rednecks are centralized in Alberta. Sad but true. It doesn't meant that ALL Albertans are like that, but the Plains have the well-deserved reputations of being religious conservative nut-jobs. Travel around the country and ask or listen. Or get to know people from other provinces. Shit, I have a friend who grew up in Calgary who moved here to change the air she was living in.

Ah man, fuck Toronto. They have a shitty wannabe hockey team and their city sucks.

I'll slightly disagree with you here, Martin. You guys win for having more religious people but the flatlands win for more religious nutbags. I mean, we have a creationism museum in Innisfail for fuck's sake! (We should probably exclude Edmonton, Winterpeg and Saskatoon from this as those are pretty liberal kinda towns)

I hate the skydome and the CN tower too
I hate Nathan Phillips Square and the Ontario Zoo
The rents too high, the airs unclean
The beaches are dirty, and the people are mean
And the women are big, and the men are dumb
And the children are loopy cause they live in a slum
The water is polluted and the mayors a dork
They dress real bad and they think they're New York

Maybe outside the major towns. Maybe. Still, fuck you for giving me a reason to want to go see something in the plains. Creationism museum? In Canada? Awesome! I must go there with a blowhorn to celebrate Jebus! I'll invite you!

Oh, and just for the record: Fuck Toronto.

Man, I had no idea the fury that Quebec has for the rest of Canada still exists. I'm shocked.
Also, Stargate porn sounds interesting, certainly more interesting than Stargate (although not as interesting as porn....)

Stargate: SG69
Stargate: BDSM
Stargate: splatpanties

anyone got more?

Why does everybody hate Toronto? As a Winnipegger, maybe I've been left out of the kerfuffle (yes...that's as bad as it gets here) because Winnipeggers seem to hate our own city more than the residents of any other. And with reason...
The fuck did Tornoto do exactly? Did it steal potential film shooting away from Vancouver?
It's been twenty years, but I had a blast* when I went to Toronto. I'm sure it could have changed by now.

*Except for that one guy who took me to a Leafs game.

It's a fun national pastime to hate Toronto. My uncle who lives there calls it, with no irony or sarcasm, "the centre of the universe". Hell they even made a movie about the rest of Canada hating Toronto.

I was last in Winniepeg in Dec 05 for company training. Walking downtown was an education, I saw a native drinking anti-freeze and was offered a $10 blow job two blocks off Portage and Main. And it's still better than Toronto!

And to think. You'd only see that shit in New York City. Nice work Canada.
$10 dollar blow job? And I always thought the cost of living was higher in Canada.

I think maybe YOU call the prairies the bible belt of Canada
It's not me, but pretty much everyone else. Mind you, Alberta is the one province EVERYONE thinks when you say The Prairies. Sorry to have flustered any Saskata..whanese? Or Manitobans (who gave us the NDP, thank you...), but I know fuck all about those 2 provinces beside the cold winters and the lack of Hockey teams.. And while 30 years ago it was catholic, here it ain't like that anymore, at least in the major urban centers. Strong backlash against religion since the 60s...

Ahhh... not the rest of Canada. Just Alberta, but mainly Toronto. But again, depends on who you ask. A hardcore separatist hates everything that speak English.. so there's that.
