Has anyone else notice this shit popping up? As one co-worker put it, it's the new "Von Dutch".

So then it deserves an equal amount of my attention.

Yeah I didn't understand why I was seeing so many people in these ugly t-shirts.
Then I found out they cost $100+.
NOW I GET IT.

Ed Hardy is a legend. The clothing line based on his work is waaaaay overpriced, but at least it's not Affliction.

I don't care who wears it or how much it costs and it most certainly isn't for me, but if Don Ed Hardy is getting paid after decades of shoving ink into bikers I am all for it. The worst think about Von Dutch stuff is that Von Dutch wasn't alive to get rich off of it.

Well, if he's getting the cash or the estate is getting the cash. More power to him.

Well that's the irony there. If Von Dutch had been alive he never would have sold his name to a designer clothing line and I am sure he was spinning in his grave when it happened. I think I heard that his daughter was the one who licensed it out.

It's the same designer as Von Dutch, a man named Christian Audigier. Don Ed Hardy is on record as not giving a shit about it (he's actually a really smart guy, a fascinating artist, and a great interview), but like everyone says...so long as he's getting paid.
